Went there Friday night with my parents and the service and food was so great. My mom didn’t like the way her noodles were cooked and the soups chef who remade it personally came out to give her her new plate. We chose from the Restaurant week menu and the portions were all pretty good. Jae was our lovely waitress and made the experience great. I would def recommend!

Just had lunch at the majestic. Great food and service. Quiet and relaxed. It’s definitely worth the short walk from the waterfront. Thank you Fernando! Definitely try the date appetizer. It is amazing!!!

I visited Majestic Café for the first time this weekend while visiting my family in D.C. It was a great time. The food is delicious, the service is superb, and the outdoor option makes it all the better. Josh was our server, and he did a great job. He was super personal, knew the menu well, and was great at accommodating our requests. Five Stars, and I will highly recommend it to all.

I had a great lunch here for work. We both got salads that were a little pricey but delicious. I was actually very impressed with the inventiveness of their menu.

Great atmosphere as well! Give them a try when you’re in Old Town

Last weekend my wife made a reservation at Majestic for a special occasion and I had never even heard of the place. It’s small, maybe 25 tables, but neat, cozy, full of character, and clean as can be. I thought it would be a nice but forgettable evening but our server Mike turned the night into something we’ll remember. My wife forgot to say we were celebrating when she made the reservation but somehow Mike made it feel like everything was built around us. Nothing forced, just his relaxed way of handling our table, sharp with wine pairings and spot on with recommendations. Professional, attentive without hovering, the kind of natural talent you don’t see often.

I had the steak and fries, best I’ve had in years. Whatever glaze was on it, I couldn’t tell you, but it was phenomenal. My wife had something else, I can’t even remember what, but she loved it and wouldn’t stop talking about how good it was.

I manage a restaurant myself and I’ll admit my had to wife kick me under the table a couple times because she could tell I was tempted to offer our server a job on the spot. Maybe next time lol. He’s the kind of server I’d want representing my place.

We’ll def be back! Great food, fantastic service, and a hidden gem worth every penny. Highly reccomend.

I went here with friends on Sunday for brunch. The whole experience was wonderful. We ordered a few appetizers and everything from the monkey bread, sausage, beignets, crispy, artichoke carts, and sweet potato muffins were amazing! My friends ordered alcoholic beverages, and they were shocked at how good they were. Each of our entrées was amazing. The only slight drawback was my friend who ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich Said the biscuit was a bit too crumbly and was falling apart as they were trying to eat it. They said it tasted good though, and it was very large and filling. we will definitely go here again!

We dined at The Majestic late night and made it just before the kitchen closed around 10 p.m.—and I’m so glad we did! The food was phenomenal from start to finish.

We started with the Crab Rangoons and the Oxtail Baklava, both of which were incredible. The crab rangoons were so good that we immediately ordered a second round. We also tried the Majestic Parker House Rolls—they looked beautiful, but they weren’t the soft rolls we expected and were a bit harder than we prefer.

For mains, we had the Hanger Steak Frites, Ragù Bolognese, and the Zucchini Pesto & Fusilli. Everything was delicious, but the steak frites stole the show—perfectly tender, seasoned to perfection, and topped with garlic butter that melted in your mouth. Absolute standout dish.

To sip on, we had the Majestic Old Fashioned and a whiskey on the rocks, both well-made and a great complement to the meal.

The restaurant had an intimate ambiance. We chose a cozy booth instead of sitting at the bar, which made it feel even more comfortable. The service was excellent—attentive, warm, and welcoming, especially considering we arrived close to closing time. The bathrooms were also clean, though located downstairs.

Overall, The Majestic has officially made my list of go-to spots for late-night dining with top-tier food, drinks, and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning!

Can not recommend the tasting menu enough! Everything that was set down on the table was absolutely delicious.

You can also tell the place is well run, as the manager was actively involved helping run plates and stopping by tables ensuring everyone was enjoying their time at the restaurant.

I will keep coming back as long as those things remain true!

The Majestic is such a gem of a restaurant in Old Town Alexandria! It was my first time there, I had lunch and my experience was great. Parking was so easy, as I got lucky and found a street parking spot right in front of the restaurant. I love the challenge of parallel parking, so I was very happy already. There is a small parking lot just across the street, too, but that just seems so mundane to me. I was greeted by who I believe is the manager, and seated in a very nice booth. The table is very nice and clean, the seat is soft and luxurious, the service was quick and friendly, the ambiance is perfectly lit for middle of the day lunch. Now, let me tell you about the FOOD!!!! First, the menu was simple, tasteful, and two-sided. I was pleased with, and not not overwhelmed by, the options. I got a starter to share with my friend and a Kale salad with grilled shrimp. My first bite into the Burrata, and I had wanted to go compliment the chef myself! I didn't, but, I did communicate that with the wait staff and the manager who would come by to check on us during our experience. It was delectable! It doubled as my dessert as the fruit compote was very sweet! The Kale salad was very well put together with 6 grilled shrimp. The salad was very well seasoned and not wet. The shrimp was very well seasoned and perfectly grilled with a hint of smoke of the grilling. Perfection! The bill was a bit high for a lunch, however, the whole experience and environment made it all worthwhile.

My waiter Mike wasn’t loud. Wasn’t trying to impress. But damn, their was this presence about him…calm, attentive, real. You know how rare it is to feel seen by someone who’s technically just taking your order? That’s what I mean. Mike clocked the storm behind my smile without me saying a word. He didn’t pry, he didn’t play therapist, he didn’t patronize, he just…created space. And he held it with warmth, kindness and wit. And somehow, between an appetizer and my entree, he helped me forget my problems and remember myself a little.

The food was fantastic but the service was exceptional. Thank you Mike.
