Uptown Market & Cafe

If there was one thing that you had to go to this quaint little cafe near Old Town Alexandria to eat, it has to be the chicken wings. The softest and the juiciest wings that you’d find anywhere else. They do sandwiches and burgers really well too. My favourites are Philly Chicken and Cheese, and The blackened chicken sandwich. This small business is surrounded by offices and has been hit hard due to covid as footfall has reduced significantly. If you can stop by in Alexandria and try them it would be a great way to help a small business.

Cheesburger and fries were very delicious and fresh! Way better than Foster’s. Gentleman took his time cooking the food well. Recommend and will be back!

Pretty good little cafe. Not the best coffee or food but def better than fast food or most cafes. If you’re in the area and need a quick meal, recommend. Seating area inside is small and cramped but if you take your food togo you’ll be fine.

Best Steak and Cheese in the world! very convenient for a good and affordable breakfast as well.! Nice wines and all around convenient!

Store was closed but the operator was nice enough to sell me a bag of chips. He offered drinks too. Will definitely return when open.

Love this little place. The sandwiches I have had are solid and very reasonably priced. Aside from the food, there is a small selection of wine, groceries, and frozen treats. Very homey, old times feel that reminds me of a fry good/provisions store of the past. Go out today and support this small, local business!

Great customer service. Gazpacho soup and chicken empanadas were great. Got a blueberry muffin and hot chocolate to go. Easy to order on their in-store computer. No need to wait for server

Simple ingredients, wide variety of options, great taste! There is a cute little market inside with beverages, snacks, canned pastas, chips, milk, eggs, etc. I thought that was really refreshing to see. Originally, I was planning to grab lunch at a chain sandwich shop, but I am happy I stopped here instead.

They gladly prepared coffee at 4 PM in response to a late, impromptu request. The lady made sure to get the order right and they were very nice.
