Vaso's Mediterranean Bistro

Enjoyed a family dinner with in laws from out of town. Everything was great...my only issue was I got the Vodka Penne, if you added shrimp it was $10 more, and I only got 3 shrimp. That was a bit was a bit disappointing because they weren't Jumbo. Everyone else loved their dishes~ the waitress was fantastic~ we will go again~

Al fresco dining on a great evening. Lots of people watching while we ate fresh fish dishes. So good.

Not the best experience during restaurant week on Sunday. Maybe it was an off night but service was spotty and the food just okay. Will give them another chance but this wasn't the best experience.

We had dinner and sat indoors by the front entrance. The food was great and the service really good. I've been here before and will certainly return. I'm vegetarian, and at Vaso's, I had the best fettuccine alfredo of my life!

The food was good. The service was not good, and a few orders were incorrect. The atmosphere was unacceptable - the air conditioning was not working correctly on the second floor. They should not be allowed to seat people in that area; it is a health hazard. We had our elderly parents with us, and they were overheating.

this place was perfect for our small event with 9 people.

We decided to try this place since we wanted something a little different than bar food, probably should have done the bar food. First, we thought by eating indoors on these hot days we would have air conditioning, well, if it was on, we didn’t feel it, we had to use our handheld fans to get a little cool. Once we ordered our food, it took almost an hour for us to get it, when we asked about it, we were told they had a party that was keeping them busy. We literally ordered 3 items. While we waited for our food, the server didn’t come back to ask if we wanted additional drinks. And when the food finally came out, the spaghetti needed some more seasoning. The chicken we ordered was dry. For the price of the food, we were expecting so much more, a very disappointing experience.

Food is not bad, but very small portions and overpriced. The bathroom is dirty and there is a spoon holding up the drain stopper. A canned soda is 3.50! And a small piece of cheese (saganaki) was $16! Service was good. Would not return.

Dinner was excellent. The chef really knows how to cook fish. The wait staff was attentive. A good location and a good choice.

This is one of the great values in Alexandria. The food and service are wonderful and while the location is uptown, it is on the trolley line and very accessible. We have eaten here many times and will do so in the future.

Our favorite Old Town restaurant! Best Shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and Special branzino are fabulous.
