Best place for good food and a girls night or sweet date! Food and atmosphere are on point. We had Tom as our server. Knowledgeable about the food, great conversationalist, and the cutest dimples! Highly recommend this place! Ask for Tom and you won’t be disappointed! The other servers are great too!

Learning that Ryan is no longer has completely changed my view of this place. Great staff are the heart of any good restaurant, and losing such an outstanding bartender shows a lack of appreciation for the people who make the experience memorable.
Sadly, without Ryan behind the bar, the charm and warmth that kept me coming back are gone.

Virginia’s Darling is a hidden gem! It feels cozy and stylish. The dishes show a lot of thought and commitment to details - I was snacking on pistachios days later and remembered how much better the pistachios in the salad were. I didn't even realize pistachios could leave that kind of impression! The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly welcome. THE BREAD SERVICE IS DYNAMITE. Love this local, small business and so excited to keep trying chef's seasonal options.

This is my go-to spot for great food and great wine. The service is warm and attentive, like you’re at a friend’s house. I have always enjoyed whatever glass of wine I have- their list is well curated and the pours are generous. The food is elevated yet accessible- the burger and deviled eggs are favorites! Coupled with great ambiance and killer music, Virginia’s Darling stays high on my list of places to be.

Visited for a friend’s birthday, regardless of what you get you are here for the atmosphere. The pricing for everything is simply ridiculous nor is the food filling. Even for the food that was for tasting, it just felt as if it was missing more. The Birthday girl had a great time so that is what matters, however, I do not see this place being more than the 1 visit.

Food was just okay. Compared to other tapas restaurants in Alexandria like Barca, this doesn’t measure up. Service was extremely slow and the main course for one member of our party was forgotten. Atmosphere is beautiful- girly, trendy, and fun.

Virginia Darling was highly recommended and did not disappoint. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and we loved sitting right up at the bar to watch the very talented bartenders. Our cocktails were masterfully balanced. I had the dirty gin highball and a T&T. The food was also fabulous! Everything was good, but the summer pasta was jaw-droppingly delicious. I really can't say enough good things about the decor, service, and food. I wish I did not live out of state... or maybe it's a good thing that I do, because I'd end up here every weekend!

Virginia's Darling came highly suggested by a friend who knew we would be in the area and we were SUPER impressed. Not only is everyone friendly but the food is amazing and the chef served us each meal with a description of exactly what we were eating. The bartenders were gracious, friendly and talented. They always knew what we needed before we asked. The food was AMAZING down to the bread and butter. We will definitely be back!
