I got a Spicy Italian Stromboli the other day for lunch and I was truly impressed. No complaints about the food quality. I wish I got more sauce to go with my meal but overall I was very impressed.

I'm a big fan of Vocelli Pizza and looked forward to continue ordering it after I recently moved to Alexandria. But the pizza I ordered last night took 90 minutes to arrive - twice as long as the projected delivery time on Vocelli's website. I recognize that many delivery businesses are currently short of employees, but I haven't experienced such delays when ordering from Papa John's - as I would have done if the store had told me it would take 90 minutes to deliver my pizza, and will be doing in the future.

I love Vocelli's pizza; however, the quality of this location was vastly different from the Ft Belvoir restaurant. My pizza was over cooked and dry. It could have used more pizza sauce for sure. I still like Vocelli but wont return to this location. This is very unfortunate because this location is much closer to me.

This Vocelli's is close to my house so I thought I'd give it a try. Lesson learned. I ordered what I thought was a large pizza for $14. When I picked it up I discovered I actually ordered a small pizza. Granted I should have paid more attention but I just figured for $14 it was a large. $14 for a small basic pizza is ridiculous. I had to to take it, as I did order it, but since I needed more than that to feed my guests I went to Papa Johns and got a large pizza for several dollars less than Vocelli's small pizza. Not to mention, in my opinion, Papa Johns is the better quality pizza. I don't mind paying more for a superior pizza, but Vocelli's is not that by any means. As I said, lesson learned. I will not be returning to Vocelli's.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING WITH SAUSAGE AT VOCELLI PIZZA. The sausage you get at Vocelli is the same meat as Taco Bell beef (which we all know is only 35% actual beef, the other 65% being silicone dioxide, soy, maltodextrin and anti-dusting agents). It's absolutely pathetic considering the prices per meal at Vocelli are 2x as much as Taco Bell. The dishwashing system at Vocelli is nonexistent (being an understatement), when you buy food here all the kitchen tools and dishes they use to make it are full of cross-contaminatedgarlic sauce/buffalo sauce/pepperoni/sausage/bbq sauce etc... from other orders because they only are washed once a night when all the employees are rushing to get out the door. Really not safe for people with food allergies.

This is the first time I ordered from this Vocelli Pizza. Ordered via Grubhub. Ordered a Vegilicious Stromboli (in other words a vegetarian Stromboli) and a Vegetarian. It was delivered it within a reasonable time and both dishes were hot and very tasty. Would have liked a little more Marinara sauce but what can you do? Five out of five.
