Decided to try their $1 oyster deal. Unfortunately, most of the oysters were not properly shucked. Other menu items were bland.
We had a wonderful evening thanks to Ms. Shelley and the O&W staff being so accommodating. My friends and I originally had separate reservations, but since the weather was nice they were able to put us outside so we could all sit together and ended up being a party of 10. Being outside was also really nice because we could easily talk across the table and hear each other without having to be too loud. Happy hour combined with $1 oyster day made for very reasonable prices. Ms. Shelley was extremely attentive and able to managed all of our orders like a pro. She was fun and lively and made sure we had what we needed. We're looking forward to coming back and hopefully we can be in Ms. Shelley's section again next time!
Whiskey and Oyster is a great restaurant here in Old Town, especially if the whole Waterfront scene becomes just a little bit too much. The bartender was terrific, and the food is wonderful!
We sat outside for happy hour on a Friday evening. The food was very good and the HH Specials made it a good value. We came for the oysters and they were delicious, the cocktails and pear salad were good too.
An al fresco early dinner. Excellent attentive and professional service even outside. Great fish and chips. Appetizers ended up a bit disappointing. Duck rolls loaded with ground duck but essentially flavor-less. Gumbo missing some advertised ingredients but then the overload of rice would have left no room (when not serve on aide?). Oysters Rockefeller with burned black bacon, spinach (how?), although tiny oysters had not been ruined in incinerating the topping.
Like this local outside dining experience for oysters and taste treats. Would like a bit of music background outside and Gibson onions for our Gibsons made with scotch, vodka or historical gin. Thanks to staff for your smiles.
The food was so fresh! The oysters are incredibly tasty and large. There are several flavors to choose from for the oysters. This place is a hidden gym in Alexandria.
Definitely recommend!

Review:
Stopped in for just one drink and ended up having one of the best bar experiences I’ve had in a long time. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our bartender’s whiskey knowledge was outstanding, and the creativity behind the original drinks he’s crafted was impressive. He was speaking my language and could see me light up as I followed his advice. You could tell he was passionate about his craft, and it elevated the entire experience. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone who values great drinks and even better service.

The everything that I went, I was disappointed that they were out of shea crab soup. I ordered fried oysters, they were amazing! The Staff was great as well. I would recommend you try it for yourself. I don't think you'd be disappointed!

We love this place but wow our meal was disappointing. Calamari overly breaded, crab cakes full of crab but zero taste and Mac and cheese just bad. And the portions small. Not sure what's going on. Service was outstanding.
I thoroughly enjoy coming here after work or on the weekends. Pretty easy to get a table, but I have always made sure to make a reservation. Huge fan of their oysters, especially Oysters Rockefellers. Definitely a fan favorite all around.
Ordered fried oyster po boy takeout. Received fried shrimp po boy instead. Po boy was good, but I would have preferred fried oysters.

Came on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate a birthday and sat outside. Great atmosphere both inside and outside and even better food. Wonderful customer service as well. Will be back.
