I love coming, the staff is very kind and friendly. I have been to other restaurants that serve seafood and in my opinion this is the place to go. I always come for the turbulence and supreme tuna are my favorite. The Philly and bagel roll are both great options as well!

Yamazato is a wonderful local Japanese restaurant with Thai options. After ordering takeout a few weeks ago, we enjoyed it so much we wanted to have dinner at the restaurant.

I always pay attention to the soup and salad that comes with the meals. The miso soup is fantastic—flavorful and perfect for a cold evening. The house salad is unique and delicious. It has a ginger balsamic dressing which is savory and a twist on the classic house salad.

The Sushi Deluxe is fresh and tasty. I’m looking forward to working my way through all of the rolls as well. This time I had the hole-in-one roll. The fish and avocado are fresh and well proportioned.

Looking forward to coming back soon and making this our local sushi spot. High recommend for anyone looking for a tasty Japanese restaurant.

Fish is fresh but I paid over $50 for a sloppy mess of two rolls and four pieces of nigiri. My first and last time patronizing this restaurant. What a waste of money.

An excellent sushi place off the Little River Turnpike, straddling the line between casual and elegant. Perhaps more old-school than modern, but that doesn't detract from the food and service.

Absolutely great place to sit down and chill, or to enjoy a great meal. Doesn't have to be sushi, they also have Thai.

The only person for whom I will leave this comment is for Kim today my boyfriend and I went to eat at this place which we arrived at 10:30 but the schedule says that they close at 10:00 and our surprise at 9:45 that we wanted to order more sushi the cooks refused to make more sushi saying that it was already closed but the schedule says that they close at 10:00? And to make more surprise the cooks left at exactly 10:01 and left the waitress alone (Kim) she very kindly apologized to us because there was no one with her when they are supposed to be a team right ? the truth we were very surprised that they did not mind leaving her alone without caring about anything but leaving their job😞 We were very surprised at how a very young girl like Kim made our dinner enjoyable despite not having her colleagues next to her, thank you very much Kim for your service I think they should change the schedule and put that they close at 9:45 and not at 10:00 thanks Again Kim

I’ve been coming to Yamazato Sushi since 2015, and it’s the reason I even eat sushi today! The food is always fresh, delicious, and priced very well. The service has consistently been top tier all these years, and the prices have stayed reasonable without ever compromising quality. There’s plenty of parking, great drinks, and lots of options even for folks who don’t eat sushi. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing sushi spot.

My family loves to go there when we are in the area. Food is so good, we get excited and always order more than we can eat 😆 🤣

We got takeout and it was delicious! The food was well packed and didn't shuffle around in transit. The sushi rolls were largely fantastic! The XO was a clear winner for both my partner and I. The Tiger eye roll though was unfortunately a little fishy in not a good way and kept falling apart. Other than that we loved it and would definitely go back!

I loved their sushi here! Some of the best I have had in the area! Their poke bowl was delicious too! Cocktails also great, cant wait to be back!

I like this place a lot but the take out portions on beef (KawPow) are so small compare to a spicy eggplant! Smaller than any lunch portions around Alexandria. Please don’t cut on food supply and service quality on take out vs dinning in! Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed about cutting portions! Not when you are paying $18-19 a dish!
