So definitely not what you expect outside looking in. The bar like atmosphere is very chill, from the music to the seating. Pick a comfy couch with a table or regular comfortable seats at a table (equally comfortable). The lighting low and all good vibes. The food was delicious we forgot to take pictures, but the kimchi pancake (kimchi jeon) the Korean fried chicken and the bulgolgi quesadilla were all delicious. We like Korean better than anything else so we had Krush with honey do soju aka (somaek) the two were great together. The staff was awesome, and very chill (if you need constant attention from your server this is not the place for you, honestly). We loved the service, food and drinks came out in a reasonable time. I also had the Hechi (cocktail) it was delicious. Ordering isn't them coming to ask but an electronic screen with the full menu with pictures so very easy to order. Overall an awesome experience and will definitely be back!!!

I am very disappointed that my twin daughters and their friends had a horrible experience at this location. Today is their birthday, and they left feeling overcharged and unwelcome. Food that took an extremely long time to arrive and it was cold along with poor customer service. I'm assuming that because they are African American women, they didn't even receive the bare minimum. They were the ONLY people of color in there.
Update: I was able to speak with the GM (Dave) about the issue's that they experienced. He was very apologetic, understanding and took the time out to listen to our compliant. He offered to allow them to come back out and celebrate their birthdays correctly. While I appreciate it, I wanted to declined but will allow my daughter's and their friends to make that decision. Thank you Dave for reaching out to talk this out with us.

Only caveat is parking might be tough during peak hours. Be careful parking in Honey Pig and Rumba lots adjacent to 1943 Classic.

1943 Classic is a great spot for a casual night out in Annandale. I tried the rose chicken pasta, and it was pretty good. We also got the Oreo bingsu, which tasted a bit different from traditional bingsu but was still very good. The atmosphere is modern and lively, though it can get a bit crowded, which speaks to its popularity. Located in a nice area, it’s perfect for a laid-back dinner with friends. I’d definitely go back again for the good vibes and solid food!

Came here with a group of friends, and the food was phenomenal! I highly recommend the drink pitchers to share, they’re delicious and just the right amount of alcohol. The vibes are intimate and perfect for a date.
Parking: Parking lot is a little tight, and offers a limited amount of space compared to the amount of seating in the restaurant. The dumpster partially blocks the driving area, making it difficult to navigate the parking lot.
