Choong Hwa Won (Korean & Chinese Restaurant) | 중화원 (한국식 중화요리-중식,한식)

One of my favorite places to eat Korean & Chinese food in NOVA. We live over an hour away and still visit here at least once a month. There are a couple of places near by to get Korean desserts, too.

I ordered a Three Seafood Jjampong today for lunch. It looked O.K. but I realized that the noodle used was a pasta noodle or spaghetti noodle so it was not soft and chewy. The texture was rather hard. On top of that, the soup base did not seem to be pork-based so it was not thick and tasty but rather bland, to my diappointmeny. It was not a jjampong, basically. Also when I asked where is the bathroom, the female service attendant used some gestures only with her hand and jaw, which was surprisingly rude.

We visited the restaurant, but the jeyuk-bokkeum was over-fried. They tried to fix it by picking it up and adding onions, but it was still over-fried. On top of that, we found a piece of metal scrubbing wire in the ramen. It was soooo awful.

The jajangmyun has mild seasoning, and the large is plenty to share between two people. The fried pork mandu is crispy and pairs well with their kimchi. Friendly staff, fast service.

This place has really delicious Korean style Chinese food. The jjajang sauce is delicious. Also the tangsooyook and jjampoong noodles - exactly how you want Korean style Chinese food to taste. Will be our goto place for Korean style Chinese food.

Love me some Choong Hwa Won. Been coming for years. Great portions, great variety, delicious flavors, consistent quality, fast service. A family favorite, this one.

I been living in this area for 25 years
And this restaurant was my favorite place to go for lunch
But I had so many experiences that they are making jjambbong soup ahead of time and serve to people
I complained so many times to have fresh cook when they have order coming in
Very disappointed and never going to visit them again

They have the best Jajangmyong in town! Search for it, you wont find anywhere!!!

Outstanding service. Delicious food. THE BEST fried dumplings I have ever eaten. The hospitality was excellent. This is the best Asian restaurant experience I have ever had. Thank you all!
