Choong Hwa Won (Korean & Chinese Restaurant) | 중화원 (한국식 중화요리-중식,한식)

I got the Squid Tang-Soo-Yook and it was VERY bad. Uneatable. Basically fried calamari (this part was ok), and a (very) few veggies absolutely SWIMMING in a very sweet sauce. Obviously the squid instantly became soggy, and overall neither my wife nor I could eat it. Had we been dining in I would have for only the second time in my life sent the dish back to the kitchen. And this was not cheap!!

My wife got the Udon which was just ok, but at least eatable.

Overall, would not recommend based on the two dishes, especially at the mid-tier price point. I’d expect better from somewhere far cheaper tbh.

The jjajangmyun was fantastic! My boyfriend’s pork fried rice looked pretty good, too. The prices are way more reasonable than other places we went to for this trip. Service was really good and the banchan were delicious.

Korean Chinese cousins style food. I thought this is best Korean style Chinese restaurant in fairfax county.

The beef sweet and sour pork is excellent.
The meat is soft and the meat is sliced ​​thickly so it tastes good.
Jjamppong, filled with the scent of seafood, disappears without you even knowing when it is gone.
However, people working while eating. I felt uncomfortable staring at it too much

It was very lovely and felt comforting. The food was very fresh and wonderful. The flavors and textures were excellent! The jjajjang myun was delicious and I wish I had ordered more. Can't wait to go back and enjoy other dishes!

Low quality food now with new owner. Serving completely different food now. Called to complain about inedible food, they insisted they did nothing wrong. No apologies. OK then here is one star you deserve.

This would be my third time coming and my experience was not good. It seemed like the waiter with the face mask was rushing us. The food was okay I got the half combo the pork was really good but the friend rice had no flavor.

We had a quick dinner in this place. When you enter the restaurant you will feel immediately the changed of ambiance in a good way, I feel like we were really in Korea. It is also really nice to have people around who speaks the language and also can easily converse in English.

The food was pretty homey. We had a hot stone bibimbap and a jjampong with sweet and sour pork. The side dish was also amazing. Love the place and the vibes.

Second time being here and food and service is really good. Portion size is really large. Could definitely split one dish between two people. Absolutely amazing.

It was really, really delicious. It was even better than the Jjajang Jjamppong sold in Korea these days. I was looking for a place to eat after traveling and was looking at reviews of nearby restaurants, and this was the only one that was good, so I came here and was really satisfied! It's so friendly, delicious, and cheap.

THIS PLACE SUCKS HORRIBLE UNDERCOOKED FOOD. NOT AT ALL WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Had to literally pay 31 dollars for one bite of garbage. Then they had the nerve to gasp when I didn’t leave a tip! The audacity! DONT EAT HERE.
