My family and I went to try this place and we enjoyed it! We ordered: Musubi Trio, BBQ Mix, BBQ Short Ribs, and the Seafood Platter and everything was delicious! We also tried the French fries and the macaroni salad. The service was really friendly as well. Nice aloha atmosphere!

When I went to Hawaii I loved this place! And was super happy when I saw they had opened one here!
This place seems to not get alot of business so I wanted to help support it and brought some friends. Unfortunately our experience was subpar, the amount of food I got for my short ribs was very little meat compared to what I get Hawaii and more expensive!
But I think the biggest issue is that they have a server type system where you have a server take orders from you which you feel obligated to tip. So my main feedback here to improve your business model and get more customers is to get rid of the server model. Have your customers order at the counter and bring the food to them with no tipping expectation.
Great atmosphere and venue however.
The server also automatically added 20% tip without telling us and we all tipped on top of it before wondering why we were each paying $40 for lunch….

This is my 2nd time at this location and it’s been delicious. My favorite is the BBQ chicken with mac salad and rice. The spam musubi is good too. My husband loves the loco moco. The Hawaiian Sun green tea lychee is my fave drink from here. There’s lots of seating inside and outside. We go with our dog to sit outside on the patio.

This place is cheeks, save your money and head to better places in the plaza. Went in there on Wednesday night and it was dead.
Took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge me and couldn’t event find a menu on the wall, I had to walk up and down the bar to find it at the end.
Got the chicken katsu, and bbq short ribs which was $3 extra. Asked for gravy and the guy didn’t even tell me it came with it and charge me for an extra one. Katsu was bland. 2 pieces for short ribs, price point is not there. Also one of the strips was inedible just fat.
This place won’t make it by the end of year.

I visited L&L plenty of times in Hawaii so this is my first time going to one on the main land
First off I will say this place was very clean! The staff was very friendly! But... As natives to the islands we had high hopes of having an L&L in driving distance from us. It was completely our fault thinking it was a LEGIT L&L when it was obviously not. The food was prepared and presented well but it really lacked the island flavor. Now obviously if I had never tried Hawaiian BBQ food in my life I would think the food was great, but it was OKAY. The Mac salad was good though the Loco Moco needs to be smothered in that gravy (meaning gravy on top the eggs).

Upon receiving my order and taking a HUGE BITE I discovered that the chicken was severely undercooked, which is both unsafe and unacceptable. This has left me quite concerned about the quality control in your kitchen, as serving raw chicken is a serious health hazard.
When I called to speak with the manager, he dismissed my concerns by insisting that it was just dark meat, implying I was mistaken. As someone who has cooked dark meat many times, I know it should be slightly dark, not pink. This lack of acknowledgment and respect for my experience was frustrating.
I hope this will be addressed immediately to prevent any future incidents.

Great location, AMAZING food! Plate lunch with rice and Mac salad, portions big enough for 2-3 people, JUST like being back in Hawaii! Service was fantastic, very friendly and polite, the spirit of Aloha!
