Best K BBQ in the area!! Authentic ban chan side dishes and seasonings, organic and fresh produce, high quality and generous portion of food.

Catering, authentic Korean ban chan side dishes, desserts, etc. available immediately next door to the restaurant.

Nondescript area so use Google Maps closely. Ample parking available in front, side, and back.

I've had Korean BBQ in both Korea and the U.S., and this place hits all the right notes -- from the meats to the banchan (side dishes), everything feels like it was made with heart and heritage. We went with a group of three and got marinated galbi. It was melt-in-my-mouth tender, with that perfect sweet-savory balance. The portion was very generous, almost doubled than other places. What really stood out, though, were the banchan. Often an afterthought at many places, here they were abundant, fresh, and clearly homemade, including fresh kimchi that you just don't get from store-bought versions. The staff was attentive and friendly -- did the grill and quick to refill and bring more banchan without us even asking.

This place has great traditional Korean food restaurant. Not too many around in VA. Their pork belly is very good. Had pork skin marinated with veggies and it was great! Also had Korean oyster muchim and it’s something I haven’t had in US. Service and atmosphere is something you’ll find in Korea hole in the wall restaurants, but food is out great! This will be my go to Korean restaurant in NOVA. Definitely worth a try.

[UPDATE] After many revisit, I had to come back here and update how great they are. I absolutely love this place! The authentic Korean food is always warming and delicious. Each time I visit, the food seems to get even better. The owner and the young server are both incredibly kind and sweet, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you're a fan of authentic Korean cuisine, I highly recommend this spot – you won’t be disappointed!

For Korean bbq it was not the largest menu considering how many other places are in the area. This meal was a little pricey for what we got. We were told there were minimums on the meats we order but it wasn't listed on the menu. They would be better if it was more consistent with the quality and what they offer.

At night the sign was hard to find since it doesn't light up but the ambiance in general was a good, no frills vibes. Overall service was nice but they tried to take away out galbi bones with meat still on it and we had to ask to keep so we could cook it.

The bonchon options were good. I've had better haemul sundubu (the seafood tofo soup). for the price I expected more fatty brisket, but the quality was good.

Mad for Grill, a Korean restaurant in Annandale, VA, is a spot that will keep you coming back. The “조기구이정식“, Grilled Yellow Croaker Set) is exceptional—perfectly grilled with deep, rich flavors. The side dishes (banchan) are like little appetizers, and the Kimchi is hands down the best I’ve ever had in any restaurant—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly special. It’s a taste that’s sure to impress, especially for those new to Korean cuisine. Plus, the convenient location makes it an easy choice. If you’re after authentic Korean food, Mad for Grill is a must-visit!

I went for their $16.99 10-sides meal special and it was great. Reminded me of authentic Korean home cooking at very reasonable price. Service was also impeccable; they constantly checked on us and asked if we needed anything. Definitely will visit again!

This place is one of my favorite Korean B.B.Q restaurant! I usually get pork belly but they also have very beef grill as well. I come here every special day and the side dish(ban chan)foods are very good. Good service too!

The fish we ordered came not fully cooked to the bones... we told them, and they just cooked the same fish a bit more and brought it out; don't even have curtesy to bring a new one

The bulgogi meat portion was the smallest I've seen my whole life, 80% veges.

The steamed egg was under seasoned.

Overall poor experience, disappointed as a Korean.
