I've had Korean BBQ in both Korea and the U.S., and this place hits all the right notes -- from the meats to the banchan (side dishes), everything feels like it was made with heart and heritage. We went with a group of three and got marinated galbi. It was melt-in-my-mouth tender, with that perfect sweet-savory balance. The portion was very generous, almost doubled than other places. What really stood out, though, were the banchan. Often an afterthought at many places, here...
This place has great traditional Korean food restaurant. Not too many around in VA. Their pork belly is very good. Had pork skin marinated with veggies and it was great! Also had Korean oyster muchim and it’s something I haven’t had in US. Service and atmosphere is something you’ll find in Korea hole in the wall restaurants, but food is out great! This will be my go to Korean restaurant in NOVA. Definitely worth a try.
