Jackpot! I've been at this plaza every other week for a year and never noticed this spot. Thank goodness we decided we found this place as we searched for a new Thai spot to try. The food was just outstanding! The perfect amount of zest in the Tom Yum soup, authentic flavors and chewiness of the Phad Thai, and the super crispy, but moist, fried chicken served with the gai grob massaman. The servers were incredible attentive and carried a positive attitude. Like I said, we never noticed the spot from the outside... but as soon as we entered - the place was packed and buzzing with positive energy. Definitely making this a frequent spot for us. Great food, good price, great service!

The restaurant is super aesthetic and cute, and the staff is very nice! The menu is the perfect size, and what I had was delicious. The friends I went with also really enjoyed their food.

Amid so many good Asian choices this one definitely stands out. The food was excellent. New thing to try. Really we enjoyed all of the. In addition, they use as much cardboard S possible in the take out. I will be back.

The lunch special here goes so hard. With no extras and tip it comes out to around $16 which is better than some fast food places. Why eat fast food when you can eat a nutritious meal here instead! The inside is so cute and welcoming. I'm obsessed with the little Lego model housing the toast payment box at the register. It's also pretty colorful in a tasteful way. The graphic designer of the menus really went off. It's so well designed and easy to read and understand. I've had the red curry and the drunken noodles. The lunch special comes with a single spring roll which is a nice touch. Everything is delicious and the staff is so nice. I can't wait to keep coming back for more lunches!

It has been awhile since we like a Thai establishment. We love Thai cuisines but we often find that it is either too salty or too sweet. However, this place is more judicious with the salt and sugar. On top of that, we appreciate the new twist in presentation. This is on our list of favorites despite that it's understaffed.

Got in, stood for literally 10 minutes like idiots with no workers greeting us. 2 workers even served food in front of us without saying anything. Is this how you provide service to your patrons? We ended up walking out afterwards. I don’t care how good your food is, I will never come back after this experience.

Nice new family-run Thai restaurant in NOVA. We have dined-in here once. And had home delivery once. First two experiences were solid. Great service. And food has been good. The menu may be a bit more limited than other Thai area restaurants - but maybe they will add items in the future. We would love for them to add whole fried fish and fish filet. They have a great feature on their delivery menu, where you can choose the number level of spice you want!

2nd time taking out. The food was flavorful, and the service was incredibly kind. My favorite is the Kapow Bomb, and you can't miss out on their mango sticky rice smoothie. It's such a good dessert/drink to end the meal with

This is a review of Mae Ornnit Thai Kitchen, 6920 Braddock Rd Unit H, Annandale, VA. (February 2024)Our first visit far exceeded our expectations. We will be back, regularly.First and most unexpectedly for a strip-mall location, the vibe and decoration inside were very warm and enjoyable. So many restaurants in locations like this don't make much of an effort, but Mae Ornitt is different. Mae Ornitt is not just a big bare rectangular space filled with tables ... instead, they've built some booth spaces and dividers to give the space character, and decorated colorfully but tastefully. It was a very pleasant experience to dine in that space.Second, the service was first-rate. Attentive, pleasant, helpful, and concerned, but not smothering or invasive. The folks working there during our dinner were friendly and checked in on our table just enough to make us feel well taken care of.Last but certainly not least, the food was delicious. I had the Ka Pow Bomb and a draft Singha beer. The dish was fresh and flavorful, and the draft beer was fresh. The Ka Pow Bomb is stated on the menu to be "SPICY!" and I found it to have enough heat to make this spice lover happy but not so much that it detracted from enjoying the dish. My companion had the Pad Thai and a Blue Moon (bottled) and enjoyed both. The bill was about $75 including a generous tip (1 appetizer, 2 beers, and 2 entrees). Dining out is never cheap these days but our meal was definitely worth what we paid.Highly recommended!
