Hidden gem in Annandale. We ordered a combo, which included a pork belly, a mackerel, a pancake, and a big portion of Kimchi Stew. All of it for only $49.99. This is the best pork belly I’ve have.

Horrible customer service I told the server I didn’t want want mussels and squid and only shrimp for the soon tofu and she still brought it out with exactly that. After I told her I can’t eat this she got mad and started to yell at me and walked away I had to call her back and tell her I can’t eat it cause I’m allergic and she takes it away angrily and didn’t even offer to see if I wanted to order something else. She also failed to take trash and menu when she brought out the food. I’ve been here once before where a lady to great care of me and my daughter but this was horrible I will NOT be returning.

The lady who came to our table to take order was really nice. We asked if they can do steamed dumplings since we didn’t see it. She said yes we can. And we ordered a couple of other foods also.But then my mom and I hear her getting berated by an older lady who yelled at her loudly for everyone to hear “why did you let them order steamed dumplings when we don’t have that? Do you see it on the menu? Why would you say we have it?” And I hear the other lady say “ I wouldn’t have taken the order if I have not seen it be provided by our kitchen. Do you think I would do that without knowing?” All this conversation in Korean while the older one is still getting loud and keeps questioning the lady who took our order.We were appalled and told them forget it and we are going somewhere else.The loud and obnoxious older one asks “why are you guys leaving?”We responded “because of your unprofessional way of handling things when the other person was trying to provide good customer service!” And we also said out loud to our server “ thank you and don’t let this person ruin your day!” And also told the obnoxiously loud older lady that she is unprofessional and rude how she handled that.She could have just come by or told the server to please let them know we can’t do that. But even is you are the owner or manager, no one should berate the other person in the restaurant for everyone to hear, especially the customers!Retrain this lady or fire her. If you are the owner, you suck!!So no rating on how good is because you drive people out with your hateful way of how you yelled at the other person!

First time for us to eat here but the workers were very disappointing. They did not wanted to give us cabbage for which the food that come with. My wife asked for cabbage but the worker said they didn't have it. We find that very non convincing statements. I guess if you are a regular there, you will get the extras but if you just go there for the first time, you will make it the last time and that's how they operate. I guess they don't plan on operating the business for long time not with that attitude.

I've been here twice and had a great experience both times. Their sides are fantastic, their mackerel is perfect, and their fish intestine soup is rich and earthy.The first time I came here, I was tired at the end of a day where I'd had nothing to eat, and I was able to get full on $20, tip included. I chose one of the cheaper options, but that's still a great price for NOVA! The second time I'd had more to eat that day, and I had to take some food home. I'll certainly come back if I'm in the area.

Terrible experience. Our order was messed up in various ways. We received a dish we didn't order. The dish we originally did order was missing but we were charged for it. We asked for utensils and condiments, which showed up on the bill but didn't make it into the bag. The soup was way too salty and the beef was chewy and tasteless.

Dolsot Bibimbap was pretty good and there were plenty of side dishes. Would’ve preferred more vegetables but overall satisfied.

Good authentic Korean food. My Korean friends all like this place. They give you lots of side dishes. Our go to dishes are the mul naengmyeon and spicy naengmyeon. Cool thing is you can order half and half of those dishes and it comes in a divided 2 part bowl so you can enjoy them both.

I have been to Nak Won before and was pleased every time, however this visit was disappointing. I went for lunch with a friend and ordered the Seafood Noodle Soup. There was almost no seafood in the soup. I counted once small (and I mean really small) shrimp, two small pieces of squid and about 5 tiny mussels. It also came with small side dishes that I had to share with a friend I was dining with. I have to admit that for $13 this was a very disappointing meal.
They have really good fresh pork belly and spicy cold noodle. I tried other meat, but they weren't as good as their fresh pork belly. I would choose here over other restaurants for fresh pork belly though.

I ordered the group bulgogi option after seeing a different group order that fed 3. Turns out the $26 group bulgogi order was just a single individual platter. It was also rather greasy and despite the false advertising on portion size, I couldn't stomach finishing it.Side dishes were fine, but I do wonder how a Korean restaurant can exist in DC serving butchered bulgogi and then misleading customers about portion size.

Hoping this restaurant doesn't transform into an Americanized Korean place which is what seems to be happening to all the other Korean BBQ places. For now, it's as authentic as it gets and it's now my first choice when I prefer not to deal with Yechon.

The food here was a breath of fresh air. Not only was it a fantastic meal, but the process of eating here was so comforting that it let me enjoy the food for its flavor and variety without having a mental battle with myself over whether the price is worth it or if elements could be tweaked to make it better. My friend ordered the spicy beef soup and I ordered the bulgogi over rice. We received 5 side dishes that were each refreshing and delicious. My mouth still waters when I think about those side dishes-they were that good! The prices were straightforward (if anything, a steal) and there was nothing my friend and I would change about what we ordered, the presentation, or the ambience of Nak Won. Coming here was more than worth the trek through Annandale using WMATA lol.

I have not tried other menu so I cannot say all the menu is good.Their cold noodles were not good. I would go to other places for cold noodles. Side dish isn’t as good as other pork belly restaurants but as long as the main dish is good, I won’t be too picky.Ask for more veggies if you want more! I like ssam so I would ask more veggies for my pork belly Servers here are so nice ? they are very accommodating and caring. When they are busy, they try to check on people consciously.
