Can anyone explain to me when the a chicken restaurant offer “ sauce on the side” for a dish, that mean the sauce of that chicken being put a side a pick up, not mean buy that sauce for a additional fee. $3 for a little cup of sauce is ridiculous. I have been loyal to this restaurant for 3 years and all it destroyed by the waitress who take the order today. If you are not pleased to your customer, just not make it worse. Order original sweet spice chicken, receive an original chicken with the source additional on the side :)) P/s: Is the sauce worth $3 or because of me is so mean.

We ordered cheese ball, fishcake soup and Jjimdak. It was all great and tasty! I had craving for original Korean style Jjimdak. Pelicana Jjimdak was better than I expected. All staff were very nice as well. Highly recommended. The cheese ball was filled with cheese and was delicious to eat right away while it was warm, and the fish cake soup was good because it had a variety of fish cakes and the broth was clean and spicy. I went because I really wanted to eat steamed chicken, and the sweet-salty ratio was really good. If you mash the noodles and potatoes and mix it with rice, it tastes delicious. I've often heard from people around me that the Rose Tteokbokki here is delicious, and all of the other menu items are also delicious!!!

Edit: Turns out I got the wrong chicken. Their spicy chicken (spicier) is actually better than Bon Chon and ChiMac, IMHO. I still dont care about their Soy chicken but then again I don't care for that at any other korean fried chicken store.

Loved coming to Pelicana, their chicken is always so delicious. Unfortunately, this is the first time when service was horrible. I hoped for the manager to come talk to us , but it never happened. We literally had to ask for every single thing as no one ever checked on us. Ordered CORN CHEESE which takes 5 min max to make , took 30 minutes just bc I believe she forgot to put it in. Mind you, there’s only one other table except us. Wish we had a better experience since we always enjoyed coming here….

I hate giving out bad reviews but this is one I must. For starters, I came in by myself to get some food and the owner was automatically rude to me, didn’t pay me much attention and was more worried about his computer. When I sat down he came up to me and he seemed impatient, getting mad at me asking a question about what flavors there were for the wings. Afterwards, something unfortunately came up and I had to take the food to go and the owner gets mad and says “this is not fast food” and gets all angry. When it came time to pay my bill, it was 16.91 and I left a tip to make is 19.30, however when I checked my card next morning Pelicana had charged me 26.91. Overall the service here was poor and they charged me extra money ($10 more than what i originally paid!) without my consent or informing me. While the chicken may be good, the owner is very selective and only likes a certain type of customer, i happened to be someone he didn’t like even though it was the first time in my life walking into his restaurant.

This used to be the best Korean fried chicken spot, and others can fight me on that. I’ve put 10+ friends on to this spot and visit it after our outdoor trips multiple times a year.
Unfortunately, their quality has been taking a hit. Just 6 months ago they were fine.
I always get the honey garlic boneless thighs. Usually they are sweet crispy, perfectly cooked every time. The last few times they lacked the savory sweetness in the sauce and have been overcooked. Please bring back the old recipe.
You guys are a gem, just needs a bit of polishing.
at least the pickled radish hasn’t changed.

We decided to give this place a shot after going to K Market and so glad we did. The service was fantastic and our server was super attentive. The food came out quick and tasted delicious. Everything looked so good that we all ended up sampling each others plates. Will definitely go again when we are back in the area.
