I’ve been going to this restaurant for about a year now and loved it when I first found it, but it has changed over time. The food no longer tastes the same, and it doesn’t even taste like what it’s supposed to be. The sinigang is bland, and the sisig doesn’t taste like sisig. Portions are too small and overpriced. Honestly, they’d be better off removing ‘Filipino’ from their name and calling it something else entirely, because the food just doesn’t live up to it.

We almost ordered one of everything. Our favorites were the tocino and the kare kare. This was the first time I've ever had it with brisket and not oxtail. It was delicious. I wish I could be there for the grand opening pig roast.

My last two orders from Sari have been incredibly disappointing. The crispy pata was overcooked and almost inedible, and they just dumped their barbecue beef brisket into a tamarind soup, which totally messed with the flavor and made it much too salty. I would not have ordered it had I realized they don’t bother to cook the beef separately. Whatever this soup was, it was not sinigang.
I won’t be back.

Would not recommend ordering take out close to closing time or you may receive multiple phone calls harassing you to come pick up your order faster even though it is still before the posted closing time. Shame, used to really like this place.

This review is through my order from UberEats. Not from the store. I ordered Calamansi juice, sisig, and cassava cake. My cassava cake has mold all over the side of the cassava. I don’t know how they keep them fresh. But I have a similar incident from another Filipino restaurant before and they kept their dessert in the beverage fridge. Beverage fridge only cools the beverages and it should not be used for putting food there. Maybe they did the same thing to this restaurant. Just nasty!!! 🤮
Update: I can see the restaurant replied to the positive reviews. Maybe you should be more concern with health violation problem. Maybe I should report your restaurant to: Virginia Department of Health Professions Enforcement Division

I'm always a little nervous to try new cuisines, and never had Filipino food before. Sari Kusina won me over big time. Delicious food, a must try!

Honestly, one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Lumpia and pork belly appetizers were okay. The only thing I could taste from my sisig was oil. The rice at the bottom of the container was swimming in it. Pancit was the same.

Presentation was good. Bbq skewers, lumpia and lechon kawali was good. Then came the pancit which was horrible. So salty and tasted like they used the oil from frying the chinese sausage which was a little burnt. They should replace the dish with the traditional pancit bihon not the canton (it doesn't taste like pancit canton if that's what it's supposed to be) 1 order lumpia 1 order skewers, pancit, lechon kawali 1 halo halo. $98 bucks
My recent visit to Sari Filipino Kusina with my son was nothing short of a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere drew us in. The restaurant combines modern decor with touches of Filipino culture, creating a setting that’s both stylish and cozy.
The food is the real highlight. We started with lumpiang shanghai, which was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, a promising start to our meal. I went for the adobo, which was tender, rich, and savory, while my son chose the sinigang, a soup that had just the right balance of tanginess and warmth. The lechon kawali we shared was incredibly crispy outside, with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness inside—a true treat.
Dessert was a shared halo-halo, and it was fantastic. It’s a layered, colorful mix of flavors and textures that ended the meal on a refreshing note.
Sari Filipino Kusina is a gem for anyone who loves authentic Filipino flavors or wants to try something new. Our meal here was not just food—it was a shared experience that we’ll remember fondly. Highly recommended!

Amazing filipino food, fun music vibes, and staff energy made me feel like I was hanging with the fam on a Sunday afternoon. Their crispy pork and kare kare were flavorful and the portions were generous. The halo halo smoothie at the end was the perfect finale! The store was spacious for bigger groups and accessibility. Great service, great food, perfect vibes.

This was my first time trying Filipino food, and it was a 10/10 experience! We ordered Lumpiang Shanghai, Crispy Pork Lechon Kawali, fried chicken, BBQ skewers, and Calamansi drinks. For a family of 5-6, the total was just $84, and the portions were generous—such a great value! The staff was friendly and attentive, providing detailed explanations for each dish, and food was fresh. I would definitely come back, no doubt about it!

Their tip is not good. you don't have the option to say no to the credit card reader. Annoying ambush. Nope. Change your tipping or we won't go back anymore. Manassas is better. That tip was given, not an ambush.
Jeff was very welcoming the fried chicken and rice hit different 10/10 definitely recommend

This is our first time dining in here and I must say the food was amazing! The service was exceptional and the restaurant itself had a nice touch of Filipino culture. We ordered the pork on a stick, fried chicken and bangus fish all were delicious and the flavors were amazing! I also order the halo halo smoothie and that was out of this world! Thank you for now making it tooo sweet. The sweetest was just right for me! For sure, we will be coming back here again❤️? I didn’t get the chance to take a photo of the chicken & the halo halo.
