Best ramen place in america. Not kidding. Food is incredibly delicious and the people there are super nice! I recommend the spicy ramen, the eel sushi roll and the purple sweet potato tempura fries. Everything was very tasty and rich in flavor that I would have gone for seconds if the portions weren't as big as they were! This became my favorite restaurant instantly! The place is Such a hidden jewel! I'm in love The only bad thing is that it ruined every ramen place for me, because they'll never be as good as Tanpopo, but that's okay cause I plan to go back with my whole family soon

The service was excellent. Ramen was definitely not my favorite. We also tried basic sushi and they seemed fresh but nothing special. I personally wouldn't come back.

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. The egg was way over cooked, the broth is bland for being a tonkatsu broth, and the noodles were a bit over done. The staff is great, I didn't love the food.

I came into this restaurant, looking for Ramen. After perusing the menu, there was something that caught my eye. The sushi seemed a little bit off. What caught my eye was "chefs choice". it was a little pricey at $39. However, other restaurants I've been to charge this amount as a premium sushi dish so I decided to splurge and go for it. what I got unfortunately was a standard sushi dish. Salmon tuna, yellowtail, shrimp and eel. It was nothing special about this dish, except for the price. My impression is that this is an OK sushi restaurant, but has nothing special to make me choose this place over other places closer to me .

This place was amazing!! The service was great, the prices were good and the food was absolutely delicious!!! One of my new favorite food places. The service was stellar. We ate out with some vegetarians, and they customized the food for us so it wouldn’t have meat :) Overall so delicious and nice !!

People were nice but also people have lost their minds to rate this as good Ramen. It was bad, really bad ramen. Broth was overly salty, eggs were over cooked, and generally just not tasty. It’s unfortunate as it’s called a Ramen house. We went based in the rating and some reviews. We will not be back, which is unfortunate but it just wasn’t good. On top of that we got an extra egg so it wasn’t cheap either. On the plus side the takoyaki balls were pretty good.

5 STAR MEAL @ TANPOPO!! Ramen is the best we’ve had in Virginia!! We had the miso tonkotsu and it was delicious. A must eat spot!! Make sure Judy is there, she treats you like family and made us feel so comfortable!!
