I used to go here often, but the past couple times have been horrible. The pizza is really oily has a weird taste and the crust is super thin. I ordered two pies twice the first time I thought it was just them having a bad day, but it happened again so I don’t know what’s going on. I also got a tiramisu that was melting and smelled disgusting. So I will definitely be going to a different pizzeria every week

I have been going to Carmines every since they opened. No place is perfect and to get good employees and keep them is really hard, especially in this day and time. While Appomattox does have a variety of Italian restaurants, I can honestly say that I don't think you'll find fresher ingredients anywhere else like you do at Carmines. From the pizza, to subs/pitas and salads, to their yummy cheese bread. The employees I encounter are super sweet and hard working. Give them a try if you haven't ever ... I think you'll agree they are the best Pizzeria around!

Just ordered pick up from this place- first time ordering ever, regardless of the 5 other pizza places in Appomattox we chose this one. I walked into the restaurant and spoke with the girl at the front, telling her the name for pick up. She said the pizza was still in the oven. However, after waiting 20 minutes, we still hadn’t received our order. Turns out, it had been sitting the entire time, ready for pick up. No apology was offered and we left with our pizza that was not fresh and ready at this point. Came home to eat chewy pizza, and the margherita pizza that now I know has zero cheese except for the sporadic mozzarella placed on it. Won’t order again or visit.
