I got a large oreo snowstorm and the wife got a hardshell dipped sundae. Both were delicious. Had dinner at taco wagon (which was awesome) but saved room to cross the street for desert. Highly recommend icelands.
The ice cream is delicious. I highly recommend trying it.The prices are good also.I think it's the best around.
Been coming here occasionally for the past few years. Never had too much of a problem before tonight. I ordered a strawberry sundae and the strawberries had a horrible rotten/fermented taste. I had to throw out the whole thing because obviously I don’t want to get sick. My husband ordered a storm and while it tasted fine it was only filled 3/4 of the way. Safe to say we will not be returning. Unfortunate because we would love to support a local business other than supporting Dairy Queen. But I just can’t justify going back to a place that is serving rotten food.
Always delicious ice cream
They did not hand me my ice cream, they placed my order on the wet counter after it had rained. It bothered me because after the tablet asks you for a tip, you expect some sort of hospitality. No spoons or napkins. The presentation of the apple pie sundae is great but it did not taste as good as it looks. Maybe the scooped ice cream is better. Maybe it was a bad day but better service will make this place better.
The amount of ice cream keeps getting smaller.
Best icecream around and I love icecream. 10/10 for quality and amount for the money. The only downside is me not being able to have it every day.
Ice cream was delicious but staff made my family feel rushed. Like what do you want and here you go type attitude.
Hours not updated on google. Had family come into town and decided to go to Iceland’s instead of Mr. Goodies. My mistake. Sat here for 20 minutes before we got the pup cup because she kept taking care of people in the drive thru. Maybe have more than 1 worker working. Never again
We've gone here for years for a quality cone...and then I decided to try their "hard ice cream.". What a mistake- ice cream was fine, but they rip you off on the portion. If you go, stick to the sit serve. $6.50 for an inch of ice cream above the cone is quite an overcharge.

UPDATE:
Thanks to the owner for the reply / clarification.
It's REALLY easy to go on Google and update either the hours or the status for the season when you're closed. It keeps it accurate, it's considerate, and it spares the out of towners from wasting a trip.
Not sure if it's closed for the day, the season, or permanently, but it's clearly not open the Google posted hours & does not appear operational
After waiting for quite some time in line, we placed our order only to receive the incorrect order…. We did not want to have to wait all over again and left highly disappointed.
OMG...we were DQ fans until we tried this place. The service and ice cream are the best. What a large selection, Can't wait to go back

Iceland's in Appomattox has some of the best soft serve ice cream that I have ever had in my life. So creamy and delicious. Overall great experience with quality ice cream and exceptional service. If you haven't gone to Iceland's yet you are missing out!
