Their food was really bad. Low quality and too expensive. I am very disappointed that I paid so much for kabob Koobana and kabob Bragg, because the quality of their food wasn't even kind of worth it. I don't recommend this place at all.

This is not your ordinary kabob place. It's much more than that! First, let's talk about the owners...talk about wonderful people! Due to Covid restrictions, I wasn't able to have an extended conversation with them, but the few minutes I had told me these are kind, friendly people. I spoke with both husband and wife, and they told me to order on line so I could get a 10% discount. (I already paid, or they would have discounted me then.) Food--amazing! Maybe because it's Persian? Not sure. I had the chicken sultani, and I'll be going back! The meat had a rich, savory flavor, and their dipping sauces were spot on. I don't know what they do to their rice, but I couldn't get enough! And their turnip soup? Gotta try it!

Aabee Express is on the back side of Pentagon Row (Harris Teeter parking lot side of the property) so you might not initially see it but it's definitely worth a visit. My parents and I ordered takeout during the May 2020 coronavirus pandemic. We thought the kabobs were great. The sultani platters allow you to choose two different grilled meats. Each of the platters included bread, a mountain of rice, a grilled tomato wedge, and sauces on the side - yogurt and a spicy green chile sauce. Ordering through their website was fast and easy. I liked the ability to choose the meat temperature preference from the website drop-down list for those who might like their beef a bit more or less cooked. Great food and great value.

I was amazed that have fund a true home made food. I couldn't find such delicious food with such quality ingredients even in top Restaurants. Highly recommend this carry out Mediterranean. Enjoy

This is a lovely family run business. Management is very responsive to any expressed concerns. For example, I love their spicy green sauce, but the tiny side is not enough for my meal. I expressed this, and the owner/ manager ? responded by adding the extra option to purchase a little side to their meals, and offered a large side of green sauce to their side items in the "make your own" section, and also added a large side of the yogurt sauce (?) to that section. I ordered both and it was wonderful. The food is amazing, and the sauces are spectacular. Most of all though, the level of service is over the top. They have been amazing in taking extra precautions during this pandemic.

Wonderful and friendly family run business with delicious Persian and Mediterranean food. Especially good for picking up and taking out. Very clean and a good place to drop by and pick up food with all that is happening during the virus.

I order from this place several times a week and love their delicious kabobs, especially the adana kabobs. I also appreciate that they have a lot of gluten free options. The portions are always very generous - I typically order the chicken sultani which comes with a chicken and adana kabobs, a yogurt and green sauce, tomato and onion, bead and a large serving of rice. The service is also extremely friendly - I feel welcome every time I come in and that my business is appreciated every time I visit. They are well-prepared for the COVID-19 virus - it is a small space with limited room for sitting and they are taking extra measures in addition to their usual high standards of cleanliness.
After trying numerous Kabob/Middle Eastern places in the area, I can confidently say that Aabee’s is my personal favorite and that is a common opinion amongst my friends too. Lovely service, food, and homemade flavors. Highly recommend it.

Little hole in the wall kind of. No MSG as they claim. Only 3 seats. Good for quick tasty lunch or take out. The owners were so nice. You get a lot of food for your money. Will eat here again!

Popped into Sur la Table at Pentagon Row. Was hungry after combing thru that store, saw Aabee and I adore both eating and cooking Persian food. Stopped in and got the koobidah and zereshk rice with barberries. It was delicious and I will definitely be back. The rice was cooked perfectly and the meat was truly fragrant and delectable. Store is spotless. Strong recommend. I was too late for the lunch special, but it is certainly a steal!

Legit Ordered the Gormeh Sabzi and yogurt drink. Both were good. Rice was fluffy. More butter would have been nice. Hadn't seen the store made type of pita before. It was a bit hard. I would go back to try the okra and kebabs. The gold standard in this area is Kebab Bazaar.
