What a great place to spend some time. Our flight was delayed leaving so visited the club while we waited. It was an excellent experience. They had a variety of food and drink available. Hope the photos capture how nice the atmosphere is. We recommend it.

Pretty unamerican for an airline that’s called American to not honor military people anymore. Apparently the rules changed, they expect military people to be wearing full uniform at all times even when we are going to go home to see family.

American Admiral Club in Reagan National Airport I’m an Alaska Lounge member and was able to visit this lounge as we waited for our flight. The lounge was large and clean. The food was great— had a homemade guacamole station. The bar was great - homemade Bloody Marys. The restroom was clean. The service was great. I will visit this lounge in the future.

Dear Admirals Club Management,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent interaction I had at the Admirals Club, which has left me feeling undervalued as a military service member.

During my visit, I approached the front desk to utilize services as usual. I was notified of the recent changes to your military policy and met with an unfriendly attitude from both front desk attendants. Their demeanor was not only arrogant and condescending, but they also seemed unhelpful and unapologetic, despite my respectful demeanor throughout the conversation. The hostility towards me from BOTH attendants was unwarranted and unexpected due to my longtime loyalty to American Airlines.

As a member of the Marine Corps, I must emphasize that our policy expressly prohibits service members from traveling in uniform. This recent change in your policy automatically excludes our entire military branch, which is disheartening and feels discriminatory. It is vital for military members to be recognized and respected, regardless of their branch, and this new policy appears to overlook that.

I believe that the Admirals Club should foster an inclusive environment for all military personnel, acknowledging the unique circumstances and protocols we navigate. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk left much to be desired. The lack of understanding and empathy displayed by the attendants was disheartening, and it diminishes the value of the hospitality that I anticipated from American Airlines.

I hope that my feedback can contribute to improving the experiences of military members in the future while providing better customer service efforts from existing staff. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Good Admiral club with nice food. The Terminal E club is better, but that's only because it's newer. If your gate is in Terminal C and you have access, be sure to stop by. 😃

Don’t waste your time here! Also, I saw an active duty female not in uniform get denied access.

AA and its employees act like they are anti-military!

Was told there is a new policy and only allow military members in uniform now in the club. So please be advised all military members on this change for DCA.

Also as note on this policy:
I fly routinely 30+ American flights a year and have 5 American credit cards where I do all our business. Our whole team has flown American for the past 10 years because of their military friendly policy. If we are going to deal with this will now likely go ahead and move my business over to delta where I’ve never had any problems. ?‍♂️

I was hoping to visit the admirals lounge and was waiting to enter. There was a Soldier there not in uniform. He gave his ID and was immediately and VERY RUDELY told you can’t come in here. He asked why and they said you have to be in uniform. He informed the staff that certain members of the military are not authorized to travel in uniform for some reason. The staff said they didn’t care and honestly ganged up on him saying you must leave or they would call the police when he didn’t do anything. I was shocked and didn't feel comfortable and decided to just leave as well. I’ve never seen someone who served our country treated so poorly. Honestly I was so ashamed I apologized to him in the hallway.

This is honestly the kind of thing I’ve seen people go viral on social media over. I hope you can please correct your staff so they treat service members with respect I mean they signed up and serve to keep us all safe. They shouldn’t be treated like that.

Too crowded; too many people for the service to hold up their end.
