This place has the best variety of Japanese food and sushi in Clarendon. The combo deals are great and overall you get great quality and amount of food for a good price! It's a chill restaurant inside. It gets busy during lunch and dinner hours but otherwise it's quiet and relaxing and a great place for a sushi date.

Sushi and drinks were fantastic. They were served with a tasty miso soup and a salad. The ramen and the chicken noodles were very disappointing. The ramen was not flavorful, only spicy. It seemed like they had just tossed dried red pepper flakes on top. The chicken noodle dish was just grilled chicken, veggies, and noodles. Maybe with a bit of soy sauce. Pretty much no flavor. If you get the sushi, you'll probably have good meal but I wouldn't recommend anything else.

I mean it speaks for itself. Clearly asked for no bell peppers and the rest did not taste well. Broccoli and other vegetables undercooked aswell

Asahi is one of my go-to lunch spots in the courthouse area. Their lunch specials cannot be beat. I typically get their chicken teriyaki or shrimp teriyaki lunch special bento box, which comes with rice, vegetable tempura, fried gyoza, vegetable sushi, miso soup, and salad. All of that for less than $20! It's always delicious and fresh. The service is great and the ambiance is nice. I can't recommend them enough. You won't regret dining here.

Sorry to say that the salmon sashimi is a bit tough and not very flavorful. Not fond of the pickled ginger. I do appreciate the complimentary miso soup. They also don't seem equipped to prepare a steamed version of gyoza, as they could not accommodate my request. Otherwise, nice ambience, very nice servers.

Good Japanese option located right near the Court House AMC and metro. Service is always fast - no matter how close we cut it with our movie time and dinner plans, we always make it. Prices are fair, and they have combo specials for dinner that aren't crazy expensive, which is a nice change from some other local places. I've only had the sushi here, but everything looks good, and it's definitely my go-to choice when hanging around the movie theater.

My recent visit to Asahi in Arlington unfolded as a delightful journey into the realm of sushi, showcasing commendable craftsmanship in the culinary domain. Nestled in the vibrant tapestry of Arlington's dining scene, Asahi offers a sushi experience that, while leaving a positive impression on the taste buds, presented a couple of considerations for the discerning diner. The highlight of the dining experience at Asahi undoubtedly lies in the realm of sushi. The artistry and quality of the sushi creations were commendable, delivering a delightful array of flavors and textures. From meticulously prepared nigiri to inventive rolls, the menu demonstrated a commitment to the essence of Japanese culinary art. Each bite was a testament to the freshness of the ingredients and the skillful execution of the sushi chefs. However, the positive culinary impressions were juxtaposed with considerations related to the dining environment. The tables, regrettably, were on the smaller side, creating a somewhat cramped setting. While the coziness could be considered charming, it posed a challenge in terms of comfort and maneuverability, particularly for larger groups or those seeking a more spacious dining experience.Another noteworthy aspect was the cleanliness of the restroom facilities, which, although not dire, left room for improvement. Ensuring pristine conditions in the toilets is integral to the overall satisfaction of patrons, and enhancing cleanliness standards in this area would contribute significantly to the overall impression of the establishment. On a positive note, the service at Asahi was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. The staff's willingness to accommodate requests and offer recommendations added a layer of hospitality that complemented the culinary excellence. In conclusion, Asahi in Arlington stands out as a commendable destination for sushi enthusiasts, offering a menu that combines creativity and authenticity. While the dining space could benefit from more accommodating table arrangements, and improvements in restroom cleanliness would be welcomed, the positive aspects, particularly the sushi craftsmanship and attentive service, make Asahi a notable contender in the local culinary landscape. I look forward to future visits to savor the delectable offerings and witness potential refinements that could further elevate the overall dining experience.
