I’ve noticed that sometimes the cupcakes (with a vanilla base) taste really off, not the frosting the actual cake part taste like they added way too much baking soda (I am a baker so I know it’s baking soda). I don’t notice this with the chocolate or red velvet base cupcakes. My parents got my birthday 23rd birthday cake from here (vanilla frosting vanilla cake) and I was so excited, just for the whole thing to taste like someone dumped a few tbsp too many into the batter. I was so disappointed, the cake was beautiful and the icing was so good but the cake part tasted awful, I had one slice and ended up throwing the rest of the cake away. My family who also tried the cake noticed the off bitter flavor as well. This is really frustrating as vegan items are obviously more expensive than regular items, just for it to taste like something’s seriously wrong with it. I thought it might’ve been just that batch..maybe they struggle with the vegan cakes because they’re larger? but no I’ve gotten multiple cupcakes since that have that baking soda flavor. I’m really starting to wonder if anyone’s actually tasting the vegan cupcakes before putting them out. I really really wish they would fix this because when the cupcakes are made correctly they’re amazing but it’s like Russian roulette, I no longer trust them enough for birthday cakes and celebrations and I really hope they fix this problem. It was not a one off thing it’s been continuous.

When I write reviews they are usually either 1 or 5 stars. I don’t often feel the need to leave a middle tier review. I’ve ordered coffee a few times from this place and something usually feels a bit off. Either from the customer service or the coffee quality. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I recently got a mocha coffee and was very displeased with the taste and quality. I’m not saying I’ll never come back, but I won’t go if there’s an alternative. I’m sure the employees work very hard and maybe I just got unlucky.

Cupcakes are decent. Cakes are a bit too dry.

The service is poor and the staff are surprisingly rude. We ordered a cake for delivery in the fall without any issues, but when we called a few weeks later to place a similar order, their driver claimed our address was “out of range” and insisted on an additional fee—even though they had delivered to the same house before (and it’s under 10 miles away). I pointed this out to the woman on the phone, but she had no explanation other than that “Google shows different routes and some are longer.” Overall, it was an extremely frustrating experience.

The atmosphere and service were great! Also nestled in a cute part of town. I think I would have loved if this place had a bathroom. There are so many drink options and you have the ability to sit-in and enjoy your treats/ drink, but without a bathroom, it’s difficult to give this place a 5 star review. I also wish the gf items would have been clearly separated like the vegan ones were. I felt like I had to struggle to find the items they had since it didn’t match the menu online. But super grateful they had something gf to offer. I’d love a gf biscuit/ scone to add to what you already offer + more macron flavors.

Bakeshop is such a fun and cozy spot! The desserts are always fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious — you can taste the quality in every bite. The cookies and cupcakes are especially amazing! The coffee pairs perfectly, and the staff are super friendly and laid-back. It’s the perfect place to grab a treat, chill with friends, or just make your day a little sweeter.

I originally rated this place with 3 stars, but after a year of coming to this place, I can confidently say the reason I didn’t love it at first is because I was ordering the wrong thing.
Their cookies are amazing, their cupcakes are light and fluffy and one of my favorite things is that they aren’t too sweet! I also really love their refrigerated pie slices. The Vietnamese Coffee and the PB Nutella are my favorite!
I grew to love this place and truly believes it deserves 5 stars, they’ve earned it :)

Great location and props for having gluten free options! I had recently found out I have a gluten allergy and to be able to satisfy my sweet tooth here has been a blessing! I gave 4 stars only because parking is a little hard and the store is a little small but nevertheless worth the headache of finding a parking space!
