Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery

The BLT sandwich was absolutely incredible and the beignets were light and airy. I loved how they do not skimp on the bacon so it was great. My friends got the mac and cheese and the waffles which were a delight. The Mac and cheese had a nice cheesy layer on top which was great to bite into. I really enjoyed their summer refresher which was a blueberry lavender lemonade. It’s a great place for a weekend brunch

We visit Bayou Bakery anytime we’re in DC. We were just in town 3 days, and went all 3 mornings with zero regrets.

While we always enjoy the breakfast sandwiches, beignets, drinks, and watching all the dogs outside, it was nice to be there this morning to enjoy their brunch menu.

We’ll be back the next time we’re in the area!

My wife didn't love the flavor of her latte (but everybody has different taste preferences). The muffins and scones were enjoyed by all in my family. Service was good! Would definitely come back on next visit.

This place is busy! Definitely order ahead. Breakfast sandwich was kind of small but perfectly proportioned. Think the bread type could’ve been more inspiring. Iced coffee worked its magic on me. Perfectly sweet but not too much. I’ll need to plan to go back to try their beignets and other treats.

Good food

Was excited for a New Orleans experience, but the visit fell short of expectations. There was a noticeable heaviness among the staff, which often signals deeper leadership or cultural problems behind the scenes. The energy in the space felt tense, employees seemed stressed, and that carried through to the service. As for the food, it was edible but left much to be desired. It was greasy, underwhelming, and not worth returning for. From the service to the food it feels like this place is struggling on multiple fronts.

Being called “coffee bar” I Was expecting a variety of iced coffee drink selections. That was not the case it was just plane iced coffee with only table sugar and creamer. It was only $3.85 for a large

Casual, laid back, good food, fun ambiance!

Place was packed, but expected from a coffee shop & bakery.
There was a lot of confusion though with both the food & coffee order, which resulted in time wasted for us.
They have to do a better job of getting organized.
Otherwise, we ultimately received a ham and cheese sandwich that took a long time and just wasn't good.
Coffee was ok.

The coffee and bakery items are very good. It's not the best breakfast food, but the line moved fast, and the beignets are awesome.

We enjoyed a good breakfast and some very good food. We liked the beignets! The turkey sausage biscuit sandwich was excellent and I definitely want to enjoy this eatery when we visit Arlington again. This was a good place to dine, however, we were in the building during a day when the fire alarm just happened to go off at random...multiple times. Maybe next time, I can update my review to 5 stars.

Bayou was two blocks away from our hotel. Service was great, coffees and food were served very quickly. Everything was delicious. The music playing in the cafe was from Louisiana, which is a great touch.

Exceptionally good breakfast food. Legit croissants, beignets, and biscuits and gravy. Great coffee. If you're in the area on business, I highly recommend skipping the hotel buffet and getting a treat for yourself.
