Was super disappointed in the doberge cake I bought for my birthday Price was reasonable - cake was something out of left field. The layers of cake were pretty tasteless and almost cardboardy - but that wasn't the issue - the cake was overly iced (like a typical birthday cake, but doberge isn't) with chocolate icing that needed a little more sugar or less salt (and was almost bitter). There was no fondant (standard for a doberge) on the outside and the icing on the inside didn't seem to be pudding/custard (standard for a doberge) - it just seemed to be more bitter icing. Everyone at the table was unimpressed, as was the wait staff we shared half of the cake with. Everyone agreed on chasing it down with some fruit and ice cream to make it tolerable. I'd probably come back and try other things - but never this cake. Ever. I had hoped to show my friends a tasty taste of the south, but this wasn't it.

It left a good impression on me, the coffee was good and I ordered a bread filled with cream cheese and chives and it was delicious. I definitely want to go again.

We literally just flew back from New Orleans, and immediately longing NOLA's cuisine. We drove all the way from Baltimore in a rainstorm because of the crazed reviews. The reviewers stated that you MUST try the spiced cider, biscuit breakfast sandwich, deviled eggs, and the king cake. I opted for the biscuit breakfast sandwich, spicy potatoes, and spiced apple cider. WOW, just wow--the biscuit breakfast sammy was celestial. I wish I would have ordered two. Clean unisex bathrooms. If you plan to order beignets, don't wear black or dark clothing. Service is only at the counter due to the order grab and sit system. Self-bus dining style. Easy parking across the street which if you come on the weekends, after you eat or grab coffee at Bayou, you can skip over to the Arlington Farmer's Market.

Great place and tremendous staff. We stayed past closing, and they didn't say a word.

A charming and unique place the sit and read, chat, or maybe do some work. The beignets were fresh and flavorful, and well priced. Coffee comes in a mug if it’s a regular size and it was good. I only saw once gluten free bakery item (cookie).Note: Know they don’t allow laptops on weekends to keep more tables open. It can get crowded easily regardless, and you may have to wait to make/get your order.

Really bad, it was my first time in this place and I asked for help about the menu, and the blonde girl was really gros. I felt really bad.

This place has the best cuban sandwich I have ever had, even the ones in Florida! Also the coffee there is very good. Will definitely go back to try their cuban daily menu.

Efficient service and affordable place to grab coffee. Full range of coffee options, flavorings and sizes. Decent selection of pastries but the display case didn't seem full at 9am on a Thursday. The everything bagel croissant was filling at $3.75, so I'd say it was a good deal! There were a few people sitting around having breakfast and the menu looked appetizing. Maybe on my return visit when I'm in the area!

Terrible customer service. Terrible breakfast options. Then when pivoted to another item it was said to be something else than what I received. The only thing is prices are low.

I always get an order of beignets and one avocado Benedict. This is my comfort food and it always tastes so fresh! I've also ordered the scones which are so delicious and never too hard.

The food is amazing. The service not so much. The servers I encountered were inexperienced and sophomoric in their approach to customer service. You will likely love the food as I found it to be quite delicious.

This place is an absolute gem in the DMV. They have great breakfast, lunch sandwiches, and coffee. This time I went for breakfast and got the tater tot bowl with a poached egg and avocado. The must try on their menu are the beignets, they make them fresh and they are oh so delicious. The service is always nice and quick and the inside is cute. The theme is New Orleans so for Mardi Gras they decorate.
