This place is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. when I I need a delicious lunch, this restaurant comes immediately to my mind. superb and varied food and a rich menu.well mannered staff, and pleasant mood. Not less important, the pay is honest. I sent my friends to this restaurant with no hesitation.

While looking for some after-dinner drinks, my brain almost exploded upon the discovery of a Filipino bar across the street. I've heard good things about this spot from local friends, and will most certainly have to get a full meal here. At the bar, we shared some turon and themed-cocktails. While the turon looked a bit too modern for my taste, the taste itself (pun intended) was pretty spot on. One of my biggest pet peeves is when authentic cuisine departs way too far from its source. We befriended the bartender and the bar crowd itself, most of them barstaff from neighboring restaurants. When in Rome, perhaps?

We have gone there multiple times and every time the food is incredibly good. Can’t wait for them to reopen and go again.

The food in this restaurant is probably not bad, but it is far from being the best philipino restaurant in the area. Also, the service was not great the first time I went months ago.I remember I asked our waitress if vegetables could be added to my dish and her answer was no because that request was uncommon and the chef was not willing to do it. This answer surprised me because it was the first time I have had a request for an extra ingredient denied, which could have been added with an additional charge.

We came here on a reservation for my father's birthday and were seated immediately. My mother pre-ordered appetizers such as the Lumpia- The Philippine go-to. Really, really wanted to love this place because it was an authentic Philippine cuisine, but have to give it 4 star only because the grilled seafood was dry, burnt and was underseasoned. The decorations were beautiful on the other hand. They also serve Philippine beer. My favorite was the Halo-halo ofcourse. All in all, it was a decent first time experience.

To be honest, I really wanted this place to hit it out of the park - I mean, I thought I would never see a Filipino restaurant in Arlington, but here we are, all cultured and hip! - but despite their amazing idea to open up the cafe, Bisto 1521's execution just didn't cut it for me. We came as a large party for a friend's birthday dinner, and we ordered a ton of things that gave me a pretty comprehensive view of their dinner offerings - My friend and I ordered the grilled fish, which came out to be fried. Super disappointing because it was miscommunicated to us what it was. My boyfriend's pernil came out pretty dry because it was also fried - although it did wonders to the pig fat, it didn't do so well with dry pork meat. Other people seemed to be ok about their noodle and rice dishes, and none of us ordered dessert. I think it would have been slightly better if it didn't cost so much, but I think we ended up paying around $18 for our wrong fish dish, which left a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively). I probably won't be coming back, although I so, so desperately wanted a restaurant to work in this area that wasn't like a sports bar.
