This place is TERRIFIC!! Small and easy to miss on a corner shopping lot, but not to be missed. The crispy tuna appetizer is out of this world and the specialty rolls I've had are also terrific. I had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi counter today and one of the chefs made these little wontons as a treat-- SO AMAZING. Wonderful beer and sake selection. This is worth coming from DC for!

My husband and I have been wanting to try Bluefish Bistro near the intersection of George Mason Drive and Columbia Pike in south Arlington which opened recently. It is conveniently located with plenty of underground parking available. We were very pleased with our lunch specials which are just a part of their extensive menu. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation was beautiful. We both ate every bite. We are so glad to welcome this new restaurant to our neighborhood.

We live in the neighborhood and have become regular take out customers. We love their regular sushi rolls. Tasty, good portions, not too expensive. The staff is very friendly and accommodating of food allergies. If you drive, don't bother parking near the elevators, which aren't always accessible or in service. Park near the Harris Teeter entrance and use their elevator or escalator. Easy to get in and out.

My new favorite restaurant! I can't stop ordering their sushi rolls. The food is fresh and delicious and each piece has a generous amount of fish. I love the tuna roll, salmon and avocado rolls, and every other roll I've tried. Parking is very convenient in the Harris Teeter underground parking lot. I usually walk and also pick up groceries when I get my takeout.

A solid addition to this area, its location in the same corner plaza as a Harris teeter makes it super tempting as a lunch time stop in. There's a private parking garage (some elevators were broken so you may want to go through the supermarket to get up.) Lunch courses were well-sized and I was full after eating my generous chirashi bowl. The sashimi special had about 11 pieces and optional bowl of rice. Everyone also got miso soup, which was good. Dinner pricing runs a bit higher ($25+ a person) but lunch items had a good selection and was around $17-20. The service was good, they were willing to split the check, provided water refills without prompting, and food came out at a steady pace. Currently they have a social media campaign - 10% off for dine in if you are following them on instagram. Give them a try!

I stumbled into this place randomly and ended up trying a bunch of their Nigiri. It was extremely fresh and excellent. Their approach to preparation and cutting definitely added value to what were already very high-quality pieces of fish. I had very modest expectations going in, and was pleasantly surprised to find this level of quality.

A bit pricier but also better sushi. I liked the artfully sliced apple that come with the sushi.

Delicious new sushi joint. I went for lunch for the first time recently. I will be back.

tldr: another option for great sushi in Arlington at the expected price point for the area. Came here for a date night after seeing plenty of instagram hype for the sushi. Situated in the same plaza as a Harris Teeter, Bluefish Bistro comes in as another local option for quality sushi at as-expected-in-Arlington prices. For two, we ordered takoyaki appetizer, Sashimi combo A (12 pieces), and a specialty roll (that I cannot for the life of me remember at this point, I think it was the paradise roll). We were also pleasantly surprised when they also comped us the M-80 appetizer, which is basically a specialty roll in itself. The rolls were okay, but what stood out to me overall was the sashimi combo--all of the pieces of fish were very tender and large cuts. At its price, it will definitely be enough to fill you up.

Came in with my wife for lunch expecting a great meal based on reviews but I was still blown away by the quality of the sushi. I almost always get al a carte nigiri/sashimi because I don't trust the choices of whatever I'll get in a combo at a new sushi place, but everything we got was perfect, large, fresh, and the best sushi I've had in a long time. I live a few-minute walk away and have already been back for dinner at the sushi bar and will be back many times. Other highlights were the service and way we were treated, as well as their sushi roll menu, which is actually creative and not a big sloppy pile of the same few kinds of fish arranged 10 different ways with 10 different names. Try the black dragon roll, for instance. My wife and I love spicy scallop and eel, and this combines them both in such a great way (think spicy bbq) that we've gotten it both times. I also think the pricing is great based on the size, quality and presentation of the food. I rarely leave reviews and never more than a line or two, but I'm so glad to have this wonderful restaurant nearby.

First time visiting bluefish bistro. We order a variety of sushi and sashimi. We loved the taste of fresh sushi and it was delicious too. I sure do recommend the place for you to visit.

Great addition the neighborhood! I had the chirashi lunch special which came with a cup of miso soup and the Mexican roll. Rice and fish were both done very well. Lunch prices are a great deal. Ambiance is nice, lots of natural light and clean, new interior. Also loved the soulful music they had playing.

The parking in the Harris Teeter is readily available and free. I came in on a Friday night, and the place was fairly quiet. There weren't really all that many diners in. We ordered three rolls: a spider soft crab crunch (?), rainbow, King Kong, and salmon belly sashimi. The quality of the fish is fresh, but the rice was a bit dry. The rolls weren't bad. They were decent. We also waited around an hour for our rolls to come, which was strange considering how there were only three or four other tables besides us. The staff themselves were polite.
