got chased out by the server just to get a tip when i didnt write any on the receipt. sorry im in college and trying to save money, but honestly the service wasnt good so it wasnt worth the tip regardless. never going again to be chased out of the store by an older worker as im a young girl with another girlfriend of mine who is also young. the server, after asking clarification if the tip was 0, i said yes and he began to follow me to my car and threaten to add an automatic 20% when CLEARLY thats not what i wrote.

Service was fine. Nothing to complain about. The only hiccup was when we first arrived. It was our first time visiting, and there was no one to greet us. We didn't know if we supposed to be seated, or if we just were supposed to find our own table. We did the latter. It's a very classic greasy spoon type breakfast place. Old photos on the wall, linoleum looking decor. The food didn't come out as quick as we've experience in similar places. There were two different ham steaks on the menu and I asked about the difference between them. I was told "one was more salty" so I picked the other one. Very bad choice. When it finally came, it was a funny blue color in a few areas, tasted terrible and was tougher than beef jerky. "Steak" it was not. My eggs ago still had that runny/undone white to them. So - meat WAY overcooked, and eggs undercooked. The corned beef hash was fine, but not a show stopper. The hash browns were pretty good. They were nice and crispy. At least we can now say we've eaten there. But it will be the last time.

I'm looking forward to trying the Springfield location. To start, the food was very well prepared. I had the Homemade Biscuits with Sausage Gravy finishing with the bread pudding. From a chef's perspective, the sausage gravy needed a little more salt and pepper, but to be fair, it's difficult to appeal to everybody's taste. I've made B&SG for a crowd of 80, but some basic seasoning during the cooking process could help. The upside is it was THICK as opposed to the watered-down, thin gravy I've had at other places. Two full biscuits made the price ($10.95) well worth it! About the bread pudding, it was a great custard/bread ratio. The spices of sugar and cinnamon were spot-on. Raisins in the pudding were plump and juicy. The raisins on top should be placed on top close to the end of cooking to prevent them from becoming hard. On the whole, a real WINNER! The servers were top-drawer! I must have been offered more coffee half a dozen times. It was a little confusing to know who your servers was and the English fluency is a hit or miss. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the old-time automats. Lots of white tile. That combined with being located in a "glass box" in the corner of a strip mall made for a LOUD experience. Infants were welcome! FOOD - 4.5 stars...........................A- SERVICE - 4 stars..........................B+ ATMOSPHERE - 3.5 stars.............B- PRICE - 3.5 stars...........................B- Overall: A good value for good food. A solid B+

Strange paper objects in my burger, when I let them know about it, they told me they could only give me a 50% discount because I had eaten some of it. Ridiculous.

We went for breakfast and the food was really good, will definitely be going back. The server was on point, since it was new service was slow. It took 30 minutes to get our food from the time we were seated.

We've been going here for quite some time and have always had a good experience - usually a bit loud, but the food was normally good. This time, however, it was early afternoon on a weekday, not our usual weekend. It was quieter and many tables were unoccupied. The three of us ordered breakfast and each one of the orders was wrong. Ordering crispy bacon (always worked in the past) got us soggy bacon to go with the eggs. The omelet ordered without green peppers, was loaded with green peppers and the pecan waffles were pancakes. The Pancakes went back to be replaced by the waffle that came when everyone else was mostly done - but the waffle was good. This experience was the exact opposite of what I would have expected on a slow day.It is unlikely that we'll be back.Parking: A few spots out front and a handful around back, but people often park very badly on the alley leading to the back, making it hard to get back there and back out.
