I'd say tolerable - good. Food is ok, nothing special. Place is clean. Waiters may be different. Once I've got one who won't listen and didn't really want to take an order, the other time it was an energetic younger waiter who tried her best.

They should really take more care in their customer's delivery order because they are not present for pickup to check their food themselves. I ordered hot cakes with eggs, sausage and hash browns through Uber Eats. My eggs were not provided and the sausage and hash browns were greasy and salty. I couldn't send it back. I'm truly disappointed because I had the exact same thing from them this morning in person. But it seems that they just said screw me and my food because I wasn't there. What can I do if I can't pick up my own food and can't go to them to have them correct it besides leave this post.

From what I remember, the food was great. It really hit the spot. I am pretty sure it was served quickly, albeit, it was 2am when I was there.

Service was a little slow… but the food & atmosphere definitely made up for it. Some of the best pancakes I’ve had.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

Stopped in off the late night. We were starving after returning from traveling out of the U.S. We wanted some down right good ole American diet garbage.

We spent $80.00 on carryout. We had a chicken patty sub with fries, a cheeseburger with fries, potato salad, two orders of chicken tenders with fries and two drinks, a pancake platter with eggs, bacon and I think home fries. We also had two bottled waters. This was NOT worth $80 buck but it was American. It was familiar. It was what we are used to!

Nothing was that great nor worth commenting on but hey it was American. We craved America cuisine after being away for over a week.

I tried to go back and get a chicken patty sub but we were told that the restaurant was closed for maintenance even though people were dining inside. I was pissed. So Bob and Edith have got all that they’ll ever get out of me.

Parking: The door of the restaurant says free parking but I don’t know where.

First off let me say I love Bob & Ediths. This was my first time going to this location and I will not be back. Service was absolutely terrible. We seated ourselves and it took over 10 minutes for anyone to even come and greet us. The only thing not giving this a 1 star rating was that the grilled cheese and bacon I had was absolutely delicious. Hard to mess up but still it could’ve been as bad as the service. I was so disappointed that I didn’t even take pictures of my food.

Visited here for brunch after being stuck in DC against my will due to bad weather and the CrowdStrike disaster. I was not in the best mood, but this diner cheered me up. I got the western omelette with grits and some coffee. The food was affordable and super tasty. The coffee was also good. I loved the aesthetic of the diner and that they had mini booths for solo diners. The staff was kind and attentive. I would recommend this diner to anyone in the area. If I am nearby again I would like to go back.

Vegetarian options: You can have a vegetarian omelette!

STOP - Beware of your wallet. I stopped there for breakfast, and he only good things was the service was excellent. They are, however, practicing a form of price gouging I have yet to see since COVID. For example, substituting sliced tomatoes ( four slices, semi-ripe and small) for hash browns is a $3.99 UPcharge. I can buy one organic tomato for half of that and they get supplier volume pricing.
Coffee is $3.59 ( more than Starbucks), and then they UPcharge $2.59 for egg whites. So a small (greasy) Veggie omelet that starts at $12.59 is now $30 all in.
These are high-end hotel prices ( also a rip-off). I am not afraid to pay for food and am okay with paying a little more for a place that is a tourist trap, but this is way off the scale. This is NOT inflation or any other nonsense - it's straight-up gouging. There are far better options, with better food and priced fairly and don't penalize you or simple substitutions.
