Having been to Japan with authentic ramen, this place hits the spot!! Great service, great food, prices eh comparable to most ramen places. We didn't try the sushi so can't speak on it. Food came out quickly. Waitress was very kind and efficient. We would definitely try to come back here when we visit again.

First time here, immediately greeted and seated. Server unfortunately didn’t get her name was absolutely amazing and very attentive towards the tables. I ordered the shrimp tempura as a appetizer which was AMAZING! loved how well cooked everything was, I am very picky about fried stuff since if the meat is soft I get grossed out usually but the meat here was amazing. Ordered the Shio Katsu ramen, I am no expert in ramen but I felt like the portions and organization was just straight up amazing, the ramen itself felt very homey and authentic. I also got a drink of the Strawberry milk Boba, thankfully they had it in oat milk and just felt amazing eating here :) would definitely come here again!!

My absolute favorite ramen place, to eat and to order from. Have taken many friends to this place and they've always loved it.

Place was pretty good and peaceful. Lady who placed my order was a delight and patient with somebody nervous as me. Food-- though it was like 70/30 on quality was pretty good with me. The tempura and tofu balls were fried but not heavy which is good and I like it. Ramen-- which some people have complaints which reasonable but imma give my two cents-- reminder that some of the broth are light in flavoring and if and only if **(if you aren't allergic to soy)**, add some soy sauce for a bit of sodium to advance the flavor. Don't come here if you don't like your noodles on the softer side. Okay that's all! And I liked it!

This place is a hidden gem, the ramen is great and there’s a wide variety. We have had the sake chicken ramen and the ramen with shrimp tempura both good! Their sushi is also fresh

Hidden gem. Great sushi and ramen. I had the silk pork broth one night and went back two nights later and got the new tan tan one. Both very good.

Boru was more authentic and fresh than other DMV ramen places I’ve been to.
Spicy miso Ramen- 5/5 The meat was tender and carried all the flavor of the miso. The umami flavors blended well with the spices. Definitely the best ramen I’ve had in DC
Crab Ramen- I had a bite of my friends and it was definitely worth a try.
The decor and art here is good. There’s a bar for you to sit at and socialize as well.

My pregnant wife was in labor and could only have broth, after being turned down at another place and scrambling to find something nearby I stumbled upon Boru Ramen. Walked in and asked for a bowl of their Tonkotsu broth, even offered to pay full ramen bowl price. Got served with a fairly large portion in a take home bowl and only charged as a side add-on (you can order extra broth for your ramen along with many other options.)
Wife and I came back a week later with our newborn and had some sushi.
Is it the best sushi in the area? Not quite, but it's close and priced reasonably, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is quiet and enjoyable.
There are places in the area that serve only sushi and ones that serve only ramen, this does both and more. Those former places tend to be flashy and loud, this is cozy.
The menu isn't anything fancy, but if you are craving for some ramen, or some sushi with a side of gyoza, or all of the above without breaking your wallet, I'd highly recommend it. Perfect for a middle-of-the-week evening date.

This ramen place seems to be one of the most authentic Japanese ramen places in the DMV area. The servers were friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the fried oysters were delicious. I would visit here back again! 👍🏼

The curry they serve with chicken katsu is the best I have had in the states. The katsu itself was cooked to perfection.
