The restaurant is so beautifully furnished and decorated. I’m from Miami so I know good Mexican food, and let me tell you, the food completely exceeded my expectations. Amazing dishes and even nicer waiters.I Will definitely be coming back if I decide to visit dc again.

I chose Buena Vida for my birthday brunch last Sunday, we were a large group of 13 people. We were told we had to pay $5 extra per person for "accommodation" and we were charged 22% gratitude, which it would have been fine if we would have had a great experience. The vibe of the place is great, but we were seated in a table for 12 where we had to squeeze in, after an hour we were told we could move to another table, but we had booked over a week in advanced, so this should have been prepare for us prior to our arrival.Second, the food that was brought to our table was not enough and took long time to be served, they just keep bringing whatever they wanted to and barely asking if we wanted something else, we did not even get desserts and the check was brought to us. A lot of my guests were still hungry once we were done. Which I was so disappointed after making them spend $44.99 per person for a meal that was not even filling.

My friends and I came to celebrate my birthday at Buena Vida and we had an awesome time! The food and service were great and they even put a candle on a churro I ordered ?. We couldn't find street parking so we ended up parking in the garage nearby for only $7.

I think this will be our last time here. The service was great. The drinks were great. The quesadilla were so mushy soft you couldn't pick it up, The Fish tacos were so oily you felt oil gush into your mouth, they probably went straight from the frier to the taco. The churros were inedible for the same reason and they came with a chocolate sauce that had a layer of oil on top. We asked the waitress about it, she said it wasn't mixed well and offered to get another. It looked curdled...

We had a large group reservation and we were placed on the rooftop where Drag Brunch was also being had. I wish they had given us the option to be part of it, it was unbearably loud we ended up not being able to chat during our 2 hours reservation. Nothing against drag brunch, it just was not what we chose to partake in and we ended up being forced to be a part of it.

Got food poisoning and the staff did nothing about it. Really expensive to just get sick!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the DMV area, offering delicious and creative tapas on the menu. The ambiance is lively and the service is excellent.
