I've been coming here for years and the breakfast is always on point. However its worth mentioning that server Luladay is the greatest!! She's always super welcoming and knows my order. Definitely part of the reason I enjoy coming here for breakfast at least once a week!

Reliably good food with a authentically southern flair. Something for every taste and dietary restriction. Cocktails are also great.

Found hair in my vegan “egg” wrap that I ordered through Uber Eats

This is my favorite hip and cozy place. Tried their vegan bbq beef sandwich for the first time, and it was amazing. So many options in the menu for people with different tastes and diet requirements. Free parking garage right across. Waiters have portable terminals for quick and efficient payment. Free wifi. Community tables for you and your portable device when you need to work while sipping your latte or eating your sandwich. Great place for breakfast or lunch. Edit: came for a special occasion again and tried Vegan Pasta entree, Vegan BBQ Bowl, and the chicken sandwich. Every one of them was 5/5.

Such a good brunch spot, I don't know why it took me so long to try! The restaurant is 3/4 restaurant, 1/4 bookstore. We went for brunch and it was busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table. I got a hot tea that came with a pot of hot water, which was a nice touch. I also got the egg sandwich for my entree. The croissant bun it was on was amazing, I wish I had added meat to the sandwich and then it would have been perfect. They also had quite a few sides to choose from, I got the fries because I need something starchy and salty. The service was speedy when we visited, we didn't have to wait too long for food or the check. I will definitely be adding this spot to my breakfast rotation.

Breakfast was great!!! I got the scrambled eggs with toast and added bacon. Wish they had grape jam/jelly to go with my toast but they don't serve it. And the cheese on my eggs was just on top, wish it was incorporated throughout where i got the same taste in every bite.

Whenever I visit DC, I look up the nearest B&P.I had the occasion to catch up with an old friend and was thrilled we came upon this one tucked in the corner of several food shops and near a theater. While we didn't eat this time, I browsed the books. I was greeted when I entered the area, and the attendant was kind and professional in answering my questions about purchasing and shipping merchandise. While there are no real Busboys anymore, the literary and community flavor may have you catching a Poet or two one night. So whether going for just a cocktail, or a full meal, Busboys & Poets is a good bet for some good eats, and good company. And you might even learn something new!

Service was mediocre at best. Two out of 4 meals ordered came to the table incorrect. Staff more or less shrugged it off. Food tasted stale. The fruit cup was the driest I've ever tried to eat. Fried chicken breast was nicely seasoned yet the meat was dry too. Pancakes were nothing special and slightly overcooked. Was looking for a new brunch place. This definitely wasn't it. Won't be back.

It is an excellent establishment with a fantastic collection of books, pins, and other merchandise. The food is excellent and has various vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore options.

I always love visiting Busboys And Poets. With a basically all day brunch menu, it’s a breakfast lovers dream. They also have a fantastic mini book store with a lot of great selections.
