Airport lounges are a broad spectrum. With everything from high class to absolute trash, thoughtfulness, design and execution could be an afterthought.
This José Andres collaboration does not disappoint. We arrived and got checked in after a few minute wait. Designed as a large open air sit down space, it has all the high end restaurant vibes and none of the airport lounge misses.
After taking delivery of a gin and tonic from the mobile bar, we placed our orders digitally. The food offerings on the menu are vast and plentiful, and you can order as many other items as you would like. Delivered tapas style, there's plenty of opportunity to share.
If you want to order in person, that option is available as well. Go up and order anything from a variety of cheeses, to a deconstructed charcuterie board, to a host of desserts that dare you to stop at one.
Food is incredible, service is stellar, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
This airport lounge by designation only is an elevated enough experience to be a destination all on its own.
Having traveled the world and spent a great deal of time in airport lounges in different countries, this one quickly became one of my top three.
Anytime I am traveling to or through DC, this will be a stop.
Enjoy.

Thank you for getting us in with no reservations in a timely manner. You made our wait so much more enjoyable.

This is a nice lounge but it’s in the middle of the airport which is a little strange. But despite it not being secluded this is a nice lounge. It does get super busy and sometimes the wait is long as they don’t allow you to enter without a seat. They have a pretty nice menu that you order from a QR. They also have other food options available near the bar. The drink menu is the same as the other lounges and service is pretty quick. I will use this lounge again. And I do want to shoutout some of the staff who is amazing! Ricky

Please give them their flowers as they are top tier!
Would be great if you could get on the waitlist prior to actually being at the location.

Wow. Hard to describe all the amazing eats. Bet you’re able to taste here. The service is phenomenal. We arrived at 10:30 for a 1230 flight. so we were able to partake in breakfast and lunch. Everything we tried it was excellent its own way.

Boarding is less than 3 hours. So come back in 20 minutes. So they go by flight time and not boarding time. So 20 minutes…..

As the competition between lounges heats up this one is worth a visit. It is unique in format serving tapas that you order from your phone. The food quality is elevated rather than the usual pressed chicken you see at the other clubs you can get hangar steak (tapas sized). Service was generally quick and the lounge seems to keep over crowding down. Tip you can make a reservation at this one. I was impressed.

“Exceptional Service and Delicious Food”
Capital One Landing at DCA completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of. The service here is outstanding—attentive, friendly, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Every detail was thought of, from being seated quickly to having someone check in often to make sure everything was perfect.
The food is incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The tapas-style menu, especially the croquetas and pan con tomate, was outstanding, and the cocktails were just as impressive. The lounge itself is modern, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make traveling so much easier.
What really stood out, though, was how well the staff balanced efficiency and warmth. They made the whole experience feel elevated, like dining in a high-end restaurant rather than just waiting for a flight.
This is by far one of the best airport lounge experiences I’ve ever had. Highly recommend for both the food and the top-notch service!

Every dish we had was outstanding and the servings a nice, small size so no harm in trying several. The food also came out quickly (the drinks took a bit longer), so we had plenty of time to eat even during a not-long layover. I must say the service was also really great. All of the table staff were really nice and friendly.

Unfortunately they do not let you in if you’re flying on standby. You must have an assigned seat. The policy is made by the plaza premium lounges. They claim they made the policy so crew and staff cannot enter. Which is unfortunate for non revenue flyers who miss a standby flight and can’t wait in the lounge.

The larger Dulles lounge is way better. In general it’s decent, if you can get in. There’s always a wait list and booking in advance is impossible because the system allows people to book weeks in advance. So you basically just have to chance it.
In terms of food, the menu never changes. The food is alright but very few options and no ability to modify what they have.
Bartenders are wonderful though.

This morning, I waited 30 mins for the lounge to open, which is fine. After waiting this time, I was told by the lounge staff that I was not able to get in because I did not have a seat assigned by my airline( JetBlue). I was told to go back to my airline counter and get a seat, which only had 25 mins left to board. How does not having a seat assigned by my airline have anything to do with entering the lounge when you have a valid boarding pass( made it through security) and paying premium for this credit card? Completely unacceptable, Capital One, this policy needs to change.
