Great place to eat for lunch. It was packed on a Wednesday, my group got sit on the second floor which had beatiful decor. Despite the busyness, our appitezers and main meal came pretty fast (10 mins). The waiters were so nice, and we never had fully empty water cup as it was filled often.

I really enjoyed the steak I had --- it was wonderfully cooked! The brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and mushrooms were definitely cooked with care and effort. It really shows when a restaurant has taken its time with its menu and offerings --- would definitely recommend foodwise and pricewise.
The experience wouldve been 5/5 if the appetizers were divisible by 2 people. If we have an appetizer and its 3 tuna tacos --- then the last bite is kinda awkward.

Carlyle is a gem. Fantastic service, classy ambiance and delicious food. It's really the prefect restaurant. You can not go wrong ordering anything here. I especially like the smoked salmon, and the steak frites, but the salads are great as are the sides and deserts. The are very kid friendly here as well. My toddler was once not on the best behavior as toddlers often are and they gave him a toy for his troubles. It was fine. I recommend Carlyle if you have relatives coming to town.

I really love this restaurant since being introduced to by a friend and visiting more than a few times. My fav is the salad with the pecans š delicious as well as well deviled eggs...Wow, so good! It's one of my best places to eat in the DMV. I recommend this restaurant.

I visited The Carlyle today to treat myself for my birthday, and I was so impressed! From the moment I walked in, the service and atmosphere made the day feel extra special. The hostess, Lamiya, was incredibly sweet ā she wished me a happy birthday and even offered to take my pictures, which totally made my day.
The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. And the martini? Perfectly made. šø Everything from start to finish felt thoughtful and elevated.

This was a recommendation from locals. We were in DC for the Commander in Chief tennis tournament at the Army Navy Country Club. We easily accessed parking and we didnāt have a wait. Everyone was friendly and all of our dishes were delicious.
The Carlisle honestly feels like Arlingtonās version of Old Ebbittābut a little more modern, a little more local. Itās one of those places that just works. The space is open and welcoming, you can usually find a table without a wait, and the menu truly has something for everyone.
Itās right in the heart of Shirlington, with easy parking (thank goodness), and the service is consistently solid. I had the cheeseburger this timeājuicy, generous, and exactly what I wanted. The Carlisle is kind of the āeasy buttonā spotā¦ when you donāt want to overthink it but still want good food, good vibes, and a place that just feels easy.
