Stopped by for breakfast on a Thursday around 8:30am. No one else was eating there; one person was there placing a catering order. The gentleman taking my order was indifferent; not hostile, just not particularly welcoming. I ordered a Mexican omelet and it was fine but nothing special. Kind of institutional in quality and presentation, and in ambience as well. If I worked in the building, I'd probably come by occasionally for an acceptable breakfast when I didn't get to eat at home, but I definitely wouldn't make my way over to this location just for the food.

I've been to a couple functions catered by these guys and I loved the food. They are also super lovely people.

On an extended visit to Rosslyn we were looking for an inexpensive, non-chain place for breakfast. Kenny's more than fills the bill. The pancakes are better than most, and my wfe's only complaint was that the breakfast sandwich was too big. Kenny's also has good coffee, eggs, omelets, waffles and breakfast meats. The ambiance is basic but clean and comfortable, with a nice view over to Georgetown

For a cafe inside an office building in Rosslyn, this place offered decent food at a very reasonable price. I needed a protein breakfast before my class I was taking at this building and Kenny's Cafe's egg white omelette did not disappoint. I decided with the bacon with mushrooms, but didn't realize that american cheese was included in it as well. It wasn't bad, but I'm not a cheese person. The omelette came with a side of potatoes or grits and bread. For $9, not bad. For the 2nd day of class, I didn't feel like venturing out for lunch so opted for their lunch combo for 8.99 of chicken kabobs, rice and mixed veggies. Again, not bad. I heard this place does a lot of catering around the area. It did cater coffee and breakfast pastries for my class. So, would I frequent this place again? A resounding yes, if I'm taking another class in the building.

Amazing food, huge portions, reasonable prices, very polite staff and managers. Buy one meal and have enough for lunch and dinner

[Last Visit: Feb. 11, 2009] There are many places to eat within a one block radius of California Grill. It's a decent place but nothing of particular notoriety. Health conscious diners should consider the Juice Joint Cafe across the street. Risk adverse lunchers can find comfort in Quizo's and Au Bu Pain across the street as well. For some reason, prices seem to be slightly more expensive at this California Grill location than other California Grills. Also, the selection and perceived quality isn't the same by comparison. But this California Grill would still be a good part of any 2-week restaurant rotation schedule; anything more frequent and you might end up hating this place. Sandwiches range from $3.99 to $6.99. Salads from $6.49 to $7.99. Items from the grill range from $5.49 to $7.99.
