There were a disgusting number of what appeared to be gnats or fruit flies swarming around not just the food but also the tables and benches upstairs. Add to that the surly barista and both bathrooms being out of order. Maybe it was just a bad day because it was the weekend, but regardless, definitely not going back.

Week 10: ONE BATHROOM! THEY HAVE ONE BATHROOM!
Week 11: A blockade has been setup on the downstairs bathrooms.
Week 12: No bathrooms again
Week 13: Still no bathrooms.

No working bathrooms! They have four bathrooms two on the bottom say out of order two on the top that they say go to, but both bathrooms are locked even though I waited 20 minutes for somebody to come out no one did and no answer from inside when I knocked. It is illegal to serve food or drink in an establishment that does not have a working restroom. Someone please get the health department involved.

Love this location because of the staff! Vivi and Jose are the best…they make my morning every morning. They are always smiling, friendly, and upbeat which is not to be taken for granted in this day and time. These are good ppl who make good mornings and keep this location running.

Love this compass coffee! However, all 4 bathrooms have been out of order for about 2 months and I feel so bad for the employees! Apparently other businesses in the area also have their bathrooms out of order as well. Feels like the landlord or whoever is responsible is not doing their due diligence to fix the issue...

Solid iced chai, this compass takes a bit longer than others though, especially with mobile orders - I don’t think the chain has quite gotten those down yet.
Rosslyn location specific - bathrooms out of order 2+ weeks. Management needs to fix this before four-five becomes the new remote work spot.

Used to be a perfect place to work remotely. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is good. However, there's been NO BATHROOM for at least two weeks. I had to pack everything up every time I go to McDonald's to use the bathroom. I also saw staff members going out and back (which I think) for bathrooms
I usually enjoy Compass Coffee, but my recent visit to the Rosslyn location was really disappointing. I placed a simple coffee order and was told it needed to be brewed, which was fine - I waited patiently. But the barista kept taking new orders instead of starting mine. After about 10 minutes, when I politely checked in because I had to get back to the office, I was told the coffee hadn’t even been brewed yet. I ended up canceling and leaving without anything after wasting so much time. I understand they may have been short-staffed, but orders already placed should be prioritized. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like this location isn’t reliable and I’ll be avoiding it going forward.

I’m in from out of town so I wanted a coffee shop that was right by the Metro line and this location was great. The staff were super friendly. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a chai latte and both were absolutely amazing and the prices aren’t too bad for a city.
