Their small latte is more than $7 literally and it tastes nothing special. On top of their just average coffee their service is below par. I waited for like 15 minutes for my latte and when I finally asked them what happened, apparently it's been sitting on the counter the whole time because the barista called completely different name even though it clearly says my name on the cup. When I mentioned that he had called a wrong name they just looked at me like I did something wrong for not figuring out he meant me even though he clearly said wrong name. What gives? It's not my fault if your barista misread the name for whatever reason. I was totally turned off by their lack of service on top of mediocre coffee. These guys think they're all that but nah. You're better off going to Tatte Bakery in Clarendon. Their coffee is much better and it costs more reasonable for a latte. I personally will not be going to Compass Coffee again.

$9.63 for a small plain coffee and a large plain jasmine tea? Never again. It was hot, but not made from unicorn water or anything.

They have a dog bowl and dog treats at the register but was told service animals only.

As I was driving by I saw they put a poor girl to stand in the median holding a sign for compass coffee. She seemed miserable and it was freezing cold with wind chills. It seems very desperate and ridiculous to have to put an employee in the middle of the road with cars driving by just to get business. If they focused on putting their money in the right places then maybe a price for a single cup of coffee wouldn't be so high!

Great spot. Super good coffee, relaxed ambiance, fast and reliable drive through and best of all unusually awesome baristas!

I love compass! This location specifically my husband and I have come to love in the past few months because they have a drive thru and that’s much easier with a toddler. Our order has consistently been two caramel lattes for months, both hot and iced depending on our mood!In the past fews weeks, not sure if there’s been a change in management or staff, but our lattes have gotten progressively worse week after week. We went today and they have officially reached the “disgusting” point. We couldn’t drink them, or the replacement drinks and had to return them. Really hoping they fix whatever has caused this.Giving an extra star because they always have great customer service and try their best to resolve any issues, but you can’t resolve bad taste apparently.

I'm done with this place, or at least this location. We drove through to get a coffee on our way out of town. The woman working the drive-through was speaking so softly that I could not hear her, plus, I was sitting on the passenger side. I ordered something they didn't have, because I mistakenly thought they had that flavor. Her response was "you didn't get that here". She asked me to repeat myself, and I did, and she still didn't hear me so I spoke louder. Then, I think she thought I was yelling at her, which I wasn't. But she got even ruder, saying they didn't have tall, which I just mistakenly said, instead of small. I asked for another flavor they didn't have, and she rudely responded about that. I finally picked something on their menu. When we got to the window to pay, she was clearly infuriated. She was very short with us. Both mine and my husband's coffee tasted awful. Both were bitter and mine had way too much syrup. We will not be back.

Good coffee (and expensive - $8 for a medium freeze), but they won't not give change at the drive through. They round up. Fine if all of this goes to tips, but I kinda doubt it.

Compass Coffee in DC is one of the best. Perfect lattes and coffees, every time. This new Arlington location is a different story. It’s so hit or miss. Yesterday my latte was perfect, as good as any gourmet coffee shop in the country. Today it was garbage, literally so bad I couldn’t drink it. I think it’s the people they have working at this location. Some are great, some are not and honestly need way more training before they should be allowed to make $7 cups of coffee for customers.

A nice coffee shop with good service, but most coffee we've gotten from here has been burnt or hasn't had the right amount of syrup (too much or too little). Their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are pretty good and I still buy tins of beans from here, but I think I've only been satisfied with the coffee I've gotten from here a couple of times over the last dozen or more times we've gone in the last year since it opened.
