The bartenders here either don't like their jobs or just don't like black people. I live in the area so I come here fairly often. Each time I've sat at the bar the service has been horrendous. The first notable incident, one of the bartenders, hispanic looking male, was very dismissive and generally unpleasant. Not a hospitable attitude at all. But I noticed he wasn't as short with the other customers at the bar as he was me. I thought maybe I was looking for an issue that wasn't there until a black couple sat next to me. They immediately picked up on the bartenders vibe because not long into them sitting at the bar (patiently waiting to even have someone come up to ACKNOWLEDGE them) after they FINALLY interacted with him, the man turned to me and asked if it was just him or if the bartender had a funky attitude. I told him it absolutely wasn't just him and that I had gotten the same. Second noticeable time which was just about 2 months ago I sat at the bar again. It wasn't by any means empty but there were 2 bartenders at the bar and a 3rd worker hovering around. The first bartender, white male, kept looking over at me but not once did he bother to greet me or even acknowledge my presence while he was attending to the other patrons. All white might I add. After about 10 minutes the second bartender who was a woman came and greeted me but that was it. I hadn't even had a water placed in front of me at this point. I continued to wait and wait for a second interaction. I waited 20. MINUTES. to even be served a simple WATER. And can you believe I STILL stayed and ordered food after that? Because I can't and I really wish I hadn't

The Peach Crostini appetizer was unusual and different in a good way. Peaches are in season now, and these were so fresh and sweet that this could have been a dessert! My Rainbow Trout entree was perfectly prepared - the fish was moist and flaky. My husband enjoyed his pork chop, which was served with more of those delicious peaches. Service was attentive, noise level was low enough that conversation was easy. Overall , a wonderful meal experience! We'll be back.

We come here for a date night a few times a year. The food is ok, but never amazing, especially for the price. My advice is to stick with the cheaper options.
Last time we were there, my wife got the duck, and it was pretty dry. I got the beef sandwich which was great. The time before I got the steak, and it was overcooked. Just disappointing that the food is pretty inconsistent. Very cool atmosphere and the service is always good.

It was our first time at Copperwood Tavern. You can not go wrong with the muscles and Ribeye & Cheese sandwich - literally will melt in your mouth. The sour beer was really good and my Martini to order was fantastic. Service overall was great We'll definitely be visiting again!

We were seated by someone who did not listen or just pretended not to hear. The food was waaay below two stars, and the icing was this plate looking like emptied fridge, if not a plate heading to trash can. I hope the chef will see how unappetizing this looks and tastes. There was nothing more awful I have had in Arlington

I wanted to go here because I saw they had scallops on the menu from the website and their scallops are great. Unfortunately they had changed the menu two days prior so no scallops for me. Both the hostess and the waiter seemed to not love their jobs. The trout was great but the steak in the Steak & Brussels salad was overdone. We asked for it to be redone and it was the same so we dealt with it.

Sadly, this place disappointed today. I'm a fairly regular patron as I live in the area. The oysters were sandy. The peach crostini had ingredients not listed on the menu (raisins and microgreens) and didn't have ingredients listed on the menu (hot honey) and included canned peaches, even though it is peach season. Service was poor as well. Server rarely checked in and didn't even notice / or ask if I didn't like the food (lightly touched everything). Had to flag another server for a couple of items.

We wanted to eat near our Pentagon City hotel and found this place. It’s in an area that has many restaurants and it a cute place to walk around.
Upon being seated they give you warm mini cornbread muffins and butter to start. We had the French onion soup, Maryland crab soup and a framer salad to start. Our server Marcus said he put my salad in as a half order and I’m glad he did otherwise I wouldn’t be able to eat an entree. The half salad portion was plenty.
Our mains were the 7oz filet, pork chop and buttered chicken (it’s cooked in butter, not that Indian butter chicken). All came out hot, tasty and well prepared. We added a seafood fettuccine to share to have some carbs. It was a very good meal and the service was attentive. He was nice with drink refills and making sure we liked our meal.
