Corso is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Excellent food, great service and a comfortable environment create an atmosphere of enjoyment!
Corso Italian is a nice little restaurant that has a lot of potential but execution is a serious problem. The appetizers and pasta entrees we had for dinner were pretty good. They say they make all their pasta in house but, again, though it was good, it didn't really impress me like house pasta usually does. For appetizers, we had focaccia and ricotta to share and arancini. Both were good choices. I ordered a Caesar salad and the orecchiette, sausage and broccoli rabe. The pasta dish came before the salad and they just stuffed everything on the table. The Caesar salad was pedestrian at best. The pasta dish was very good. I thought the value of the meal was reasonable mainly because the prices seemed reasonable as well. Drinks were $16, about what you expect these days but apps (~$9 to $12), soups and salads (~$10 to ~$15), entrees (~low $20's to mid-$30's) and sides (~$6-$9) seemed below average prices these days.
Really love this place. Nice service, great food, cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a night out with (adult) family
Food was fine but not particularly special. Kudos to serving homemade pasta but seasoning / flavors could have been better. Risotto was way overcooked and more porridge consistency
They changed the all you can eat brunch - pastas are no longer included at all and the dishes that are actually all you can eat are meh. Also do NOT recommend if pregnant. We went for brunch and several of the menu items have marscarpone or ricotta that are made with unpasteurized milk. I asked for eggs well done and it came out over easy. All of the desserts have unpasteurized cheese and they refused to substitute anything. I asked if I could have a scoop of gelato as a substitution to the marscarpone with berries and was charged $4 upcharge....
The bar staff are great. Although it was quite a busy evening, our orders were taken in a timely manner and delivered with precision. Martini Tuesdays are my favorite days of the week. Thanks to David and Minaj for providing us with excellent service that night.
Out first visit to Corso was somewhat underwhelming. Starting with the focaccia bread, it was dry and garlicky. The chicken parm was inconsistent. One chicken breast was cooked nice and crispy while the other one was not. The accompanying spaghetti had very little sauce, and the entire dish was barely warm. The rigatoni bolognese had very little meat in the sauce and was more pomodoro than bolognese. Maybe the restaurant was having an off night so we will try it again with hopefully better results.
Food was exceptional. Lovely spot. Owner/manager remembered me from a previous visit, which was lovely. Server hovered initially, asking me twice if I was ready to order while I was waiting for my guest to arrive. Then when she did arrive, he disappeared and 2-3 times I had to ask another waiter to have him clear plates and take our order. But I would recommend Corso highly. Worth it.
Beautiful area and location, nice presentation, overpriced food for size of dish, options of sides and overall quality
We love this restaurant for top quality Italian food! The service and ambiance are wonderful also. Located in the Shirlington neighborhood which has parking garages and walkable blocks. A true gem!

I had the panzanella salad which I thought was too heavy on the bread. Our server was great! The time for the kitchen to provide our food seemed too long.
Another great dining experience at Corso, helped out by our fantastic server, David. He was attentive without being too much, and as is usually the case at Corso, their fantastic wait staff really makes the experience every bit as much as their amazing house-made pastas. Don't wait another minute before you go visit!
A friend and I went for the Thursday evening girl dinner. It was great! Food portions were just right. The quality and presentation of the food was phenomenal. We liked the the little conversation cards that came with the dinner - it was a fun way to learn more about each other, even though we've known one another for 15 years! We will definitely go back, and bring more girlfriends with us!
Great dinner! First time visiting and the food, wine and service were wonderful. Highly recommend the Campanelle Alla Romana, it was outstanding.

I love the cozy environment and the food was delicious! Gabby and Darrius were so kind and gave some great recs! I loved the pasta, whipped ricotta, mushroom risotto, and hazelnut cheesecake! They also have fun martinis! I also went to the cheese shop at the end of the meal and had fun picking out some things to take home!
