Don’t try to eat a meal here before your movie!!

In fact, just don’t eat a meal here at all. Maybe just grab a drink after having dinner somewhere else and enjoy a drink and snack during the movie.

We arrived an hour before our movie with a plan to have a burger before we went into the theater. BIG mistake. Huge. There’s many diner seats around the bar with menus, but no one came to take an order, so after about 10-15 minutes, I go up to the bar to order. When I say we’d also like to order food, the bartender seems really put out and asks when our movie is (at this point, it’s 45 minutes to show time, 1 hour before the film actually starts). The bartender finally agrees we can get food but is quite exasperated with details like what kind of cheese on the burger.

It’s getting late, we’re so incredibly hungry, we’re about to miss our movie. We finally get up to ask about the food and the bartender has to go into the kitchen to ask. It’s now 10 minutes to show time. A server then comes with a tray of several burgers, but sets them down, looking at the ticket, looking around the restaurant, looking at the ticket again.

I get up, walk over, and let the gentleman know where we’re sitting, when the bartender comes back and snips “Ma’am! We’ll bring the food to you!” The server comes over, throws two burgers down on the table and bolts. No “enjoy your meal.” No “can I get anything else for you?” We scarfed down the burgers quick (without ketchup because I didn’t dare ask), with little enjoyment.

Management, just don’t serve food in Departures if it’s too much. It took nearly an hour to get a couple (quite pricey) burgers, and the staff acted like we had some nerve to order something off the menu.

The atmosphere was great, but the service was more self-serve. The drinks were good and the view was perfect, if you're searching for a lot of natural light.

I'm terribly sorry to say this because I try to find the Good, instead of the Bad, but I'd not want to eat over here.
Please don't forget to feed the Poor & take care of the Orphans.

Nice service and friendly staff here. Van was very pleasant and an expert barkeep. The pizza came out great. Nice place to grab a bit and a drink with good happy hour deals.

Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators available as the bar restaurant is on the 2nd floor

Happy Hour here is great, but can be loud. Most weekdays the place is pretty packed and especially on Thursdays when they have trivia night.

T and Thomas are the OGs serving up drinks and provide great conversation. I really like the staff and the overall quality of the food for a movie theater.

We asked what drinks were available and the bartender pointed us to the menu and then never came by to take our order at an empty bar.
