Eastern Carryout does an excellent job with standard Chinese American dishes -- shrimp & broccoli, pork & string beans, and egg drop soup are favorites at our house. (They also make some gluten free dishes for my wife, which she has enjoyed.) The spicy tofu is basic but comforting and the chow fun is very good. The proprietors are hard working, lovely people.

The BEST Eastern Carryout ! Ive been ordering from here for about 2 years now. The others are terrible, but this one always gets my order correct, food is amazing, and always hot! I love this location the most! Great job!

Just bad Chinese food. Everything is tasteless even a bunch of soy source can’t make the food taste any better. If you like Chinese food don’t go here unless you need to get some overpriced tasteless food.

This is one of my favorite restaurants , I have been coming here ever since I was kid with my family and the owners are always very nice and always make sure the food is in tip top shape. My family and I grab dinner from here and the food had always been delicious and not out of the ordinary. My go too place and one of my top places to recommend.

Check your carry out order! They've left the egg roll and fortune cookie out of mine

Great value and fast service. Pork chow fun and shrimp toast were great. Crazy amount of eggplant in the garlic eggplant for the price!

Best value I have found for taste. Half the price of similar high end restaurants in DC. Crispy beef is unbelievable. Sweet, personable couple who run it. Nice sit-down experience.Vegetarian options: Decent healthy options,

Never been to this restaurant but have ordered delivery a few times. Although the delivery can be hit or miss (not going to name the service) the food is ALWAYS great. I like their Szechwan wontons. Always nice and spicy. My husband and I love their egg rolls. I really can't think of anything bad to say! Thank you for the awesome food!!

Our go-to for Chinese these days. Absolutely incredible value, with very yummy food. Consistently on time, correct, good service, and a crowd pleaser when we order for a group.Eastern Carryout is bravely fighting inflation with the best prices for the best food, and we should all support them!

We had dinner delivered to our hotel while visiting the area. Excellent food, large servings. Packaged well for delivery.

Great reliable restaurant that is fairly priced. The foods above average and everyone there is nice

For me, I'm really put off by greasy, gloppy, sweet or super salty American-Chinese food that so many places tend to make. Eastern is much better and they also go heavy on a variety of fresh veggies -- broccoli, carrots, snow peas and cabbage, not just onions and green peppers -- which is another plus. Of course it depends on taste, but I like the somewhat lighter flavors. For example, some people complain that there's not much to the fried rice that you can sub for steamed but I think it works when you're eating it with meat and veggies from a main dish. That said, they do have plenty of dishes that are meant to be sweet (sweet & sour, general tso's, sesame beef, and so on). Really good dishes: chicken teriyaki sticks, shrimp toast, spring rolls, all soups, bourbon chicken, moo shu pork, hunan mixed veggies, veggie chop suey. Not good: egg rolls and dumplings (very doughy), garlic eggplant (this shouldn't be sweet but it was), tofu with mixed veggies (too bland even for me). The restaurant has a few tables, they serve beer, and the area is clean and comfortable for lunch. There's lots of parking in back but they also offer delivery -- with their own driver (online at "order start", same prices as on the menu) so you don't have to deal with a third-party service -- which is quick except for peak Friday/Saturday evenings.
