Great authentic Ethiopian restaurant in Arlington! The food was delicious and servers attentive. The portions are generous. Food has spice levels so you can tweak it according to your preference. The atmosphere is cozy. Will visit again.

Enjera has been our go-to spot for authentic Ethiopian food for years. Whether we dine in or grab carryout, the food is always hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The veggie combo is a favorite, but I’m especially obsessed with the Asa spris—hands down my top pick! The awazi tibs is also a must-try. The owner is incredibly personable, the staff genuinely caring, and the vibe is always right—whether you're enjoying the cozy indoor setting or relaxing outside with hookah. I truly love everything about this place.

This was our family's first experience with Etheopian food, and every one of us loved it, even our youngest and least adventous kids. Thank you!

Went with some friends, food was pretty decent. However our waiter paid little to no attention to us at all. Music was pretty loud for there being almost noone in there also.

Easy to order vegan. Vegan sampler is the BOMB. Yummy! Hurry. Love this place.
I got recommended to the cuisine through a friend and I've made 4 visits already. This is my first Ethiopian cuisine and I'm confident to mention Enjera to be my comfort food spot.

I was looking forward to a relaxing evening with my partner after we had a great massage down the street.
We were seated next to a couple that was probably over served with alcohol or are just very loud and obnoxious regularly. I couldn't even hear my partner speaking to me at the table over their noise level. They had someone on speaker phone and were incredibly rude.
After 10 minutes of this, I mentioned it to my server. She didn't say or do anything about it. In general, she was clueless about many things so I'm not surprised at her lack of action.
So I politely leaned over and asked if they could lower the volume a bit since we were right next to them and couldn't have a conversation with each other.
That was a huge mistake. They launched into an insane personal attack and then the guy started to verbally attack my partner who hadn't even turned around once and was eating the whole time. Feels like they were looking for a fight.
Several staff came over and asked what happened. They kept saying "we're regulars" "this table is bothering us" and the staff just moved us to another seat. While the other table continued to holler and scream and laugh the entire time.
I will never visit an establishment that allows their customers to scream at other people, get in their face and behave in that way.
My partner has a very dysregulated nervous system and was suffering all night over the interaction. Please be considerate of others when you are in a public restaurant.
I'm surprised how useless the staff was in this situation. For that reason alone, I would never go back. Food was ok. We were both a bit nauseous all night but we didn't know if it was from the interaction or the food. Nothing special after living in DC and having access to much better Ethiopian food.
The server was barely around and not helpful but they automatically add 20% just fyi. And the prices on the menu don't match your bill.
Also be careful in this the neighborhood. We didn't realize that it's a super sketchy area near a strip club and this restaurant is also a hookah lounge after hours so it attracts a seedy crowd. I didn't feel safe at all while at the restaurant or leaving the restaurant after dinner. We saw them allow someone who was clearly already drunk or on drugs to the bar and served him.

Overpriced for the quality.
We ordered a set of veggie and meat lover for party of 4.
They came back later saying they were out of the meat lover order and suggest meat add on for the veggie lover platter.
The food tasted fine, but I found out on the bill I was charged full price for meat platter TWICE for the meat the on the veggies. The small portion of meat they added on were 20.99 each on top of the veggie platter which was 29-40.
Scummy practice suggestions for first time diners here. No wonder there were barely anyone there at the time we came.
