Been coming here for awhile, the coffee is super overpriced but it used to be one of the better spots to grab a coffee in that immediate area. I’m over it though. Over $9 for a 16oz iced vanilla latte with oat milk that you have to mix yourself. Yesterday my latte was basically oat milk - not well balanced at all. There’s better options now (Maman, Colada shop, etc).

omgosh, $9+ for a piece of cake? I even told the cashier, I have never seen a price like that before...lol ok it better be out of this world, but it tasted pretty standard. they take advantage of how quiet, nice the atmosphere is. thats the only reason people come, for the atmosphere, but I wish they wouldnt take advantage by overpricing it that much...

I guess we now live in a world where a flat white and a blueberry muffin cost over $16. I’ve been coming here since it opened and I think they have the best coffee between courthouse and Clarendon, period. That said the prices have gotten out of control. What drove me to write this review was the service charge they are now adding on top of the already crazy expensive prices. And then they expect a tip on top of that which I regret doing today as I did not know there was going to be an “operational charge” on top, which was explained to me as the fee Square charges them. As a business owner square is the most expensive processor - you don’t have to go with square, but they do and are now choosing to past that cost to the customer plus a small margin. Bottom line, i don’t think I can keep coming here and paying the prices they charge. This is a chain and they have real buying power and are clearly getting greedy… “for those reasons, I’m out”

Good coffee at this location. It was really quick to get my order as well. Like the atmosphere of the coffee shop.
Decided to get the chocolate cake and actually did regret it. Overpriced, too sweet and very sloppy.
Coffee was worth it but not the cake.

Beautiful coffee shop in a great location but just not blown away by the product or the service. Coffee was good with non-fat milk - - met expectations. Barista was not at all excited about being at work today. A bunch of signs threatening to not provide refunds, etc. How many coffee buyers ask for a refund? Immediately makes you wonder about the product. Carrot bread was enormous but dry and not especially flavorful. My friend ordered a chocolate chip cookie. It too was more of a scone but not especially flavorful nonetheless. Had I just bought a cup of coffee this would probably be a four-star review. I'm not saying don't go here, just come with measured expectations.

Coffee great. Food not edible. Price: $55 for two coffees and two plates of food.
Only finished half. Forced myself to eat half as I finished up said half, I noticed the food allergy I told cashier about had been placed and mostly pulled off my dish. Have been in and out of the restroom all day.

Their coffee is good but the prices are astronomical! Food is gross. If you want to spend $10.00 on a latte go here!

Wandering around the post snowstorm area looking for Coffee. Tried Starbucks that they had not yet opened. Randomly found For five. The coffee is amazing.

When I first used to get blueberry muffins from here they used to be fresh (made that day) but the last three times a came here the muffins were not fresh and they tasted old. For a $8 muffin I am very disappointed.. I’m not sure if the management changed or what but I will not be going back. It’s a shame

S/O to Isabella, very nice staff. Wonderful young lady. She deserves a raise.
To the Manager, however:
Before you speculate, know one thing. Think before you speak. Ask before you speculate. Your lack of intuition can land you in deep shit and I'll be the one to take full advantage of you. I would have happily just told you what happened to me, especially with the current political swing.

I like this place and come here often. However, both the food and drinks are overpriced. I only order a brewed coffee with oat milk (most of the time) -- it is over $5 for a small and over $6 for a large. One might say that's how it is these days, but it's not -- both Starbucks or North Side (up the street) have cheaper coffee. If you're getting anything more than a regular coffee you will be paying $10. The food similarly starts off at around $20 and, frankly, it's not that good. I try to eat elsewhere but sometimes this is simply the most convenient. That said, the ambience is cozy and bright (lots of windows), so I do feel you're paying for the environment. And the coffee, despite being expensive, is usually quality. The staff are nice too.

I really used to like this place. But today I thought they made a mistake when they charged me $16 for overnight oats and an additional $7 for a cappuccino (added $1 extra because I asked for skim milk). The dmv is more expensive but I have never paid that much for a simple cappuccino and a small breakfast coming in a plastic container. Unreasonable.

Stopped in here on a Sunday morning when looking for coffee and breakfast pastries in the area. The cashier was welcoming but not necessarily the most helpful especially considering I told her it was my first time there. The speciality matcha drink was good and you can tell from the flavor they use a quality matcha base. I was slightly disappointed the special raspberry sauce just stayed at the bottom of the cup but I’d still recommend trying it. The croissant was a pure delight! Parking was an ease and there were plenty of seats available with enough quiet to concentrate if working. I’d recommend and return.
