This restaurant used to be a real favorite but the past four times I've been (since they moved to new location) I have been disappointed in the food every time :-/
Nice server. Our meals (eggs Benedict and Shrimp and Grits) was average. The restaurant served coffee but does not serve cappuccinos or lattes. Think the menu and good preparation could improve.
We had a great time at the Green Pig. Our waitress, Monica, was outstanding. She was informative, attentive, and a joy to talk to. The food was excellent. The quality and presentation was beyond our expectations.
Brunch. My partner liked the crab cake benedict very much. I got the huevos rancheros. It's a meat-lover dream meal. There must have been half a pound of pulled pork in it. Unfortunately, the sauce was nothing special and there was so much meat that I couldn't taste anything else. The two meals and two cups of coffee cost $53 before tax and tip, which is fairly typical for restaurants of that approximate quality and location, but more than a recent brunch at a much better restaurant. Given the available alternatives, we don't expect to return.
They were out of the pork chop which is the Only reason I came. Very disappointed so ordered the chicken which was good, but was really looking forward to the pork chop.
Our experience at Green Pig Bistro was nothing like previous reviews. We held a larger family brunch 25-30 people in November, with all arrangements handled by Ben J. He was there to greet us prior to guests arriving, and then left for the day. Unfortunate, as the day collapsed all around. Essentially nothing happened as promised. Orders were not taken on arrival, promised dedicated servers were never there, food barely trickled out of the kitchen upstairs and universally cold and poorly prepared. It was impossible to get coffee - this was a planned BRUNCH, and no coffee! Coffee had to be brewed down in the main room - and no decaf was available. As the minutes went on, any dedicated servers soon were diverted to regular tables. It was hard to find one family member who did not have less than positive things to say about the meal or service. And there was no one supervising to discuss issues with. And the absolute worst part - Ben refused to return any text or phone calls the days afterward to discuss what went wrong. To this day - ghosted by an event manager who was a ghost himself that day. We found out when settling our account ( over $ 1 grand ) that servers did not show up for work that day - and we were never told, just given poor service and left wondering what was going on. So, to GPB management, it was a poor showing that ruined an otherwise wonderful family weekend - the lack of follow up by your event planner is inexcusable. I would certainly NOT RECOMMEND Green Pig Bistro for any event planning based on this experience
The waiter couldn't have been nicer. Our cocktails arrived after our appetizers and there was no one sitting at the bar. We sat near the kitchen and could only hear the kitchen staffs music. The restaurant was dirty, table and chairs wobbly and food not worth the price. The gnocchi had big chunks of unrendered pork belly and sausage. I was hard pressed to find any gnocchi. The spare ribs weren't slow cooked. They looked and tasted like the sauce was poured on top right before they came out. The barratta salad looked like it was sitting in left over chopped spoiled vegetables. Not as described on the menu. Ever dishes looked over cooked a slapped together. Very disappointed considering the very high price point.
We were here for brunch. The eggs were watery. The potato was a greasy patty and the “English muffin” was very bread like, not like a real English muffin. The service was fine.
I have been to the Green Pig Bistro several times. This time, the menu had changed and my favorite appetizers were no longer available and the beer selection was not as good as it was in the past. Ordered the crab dip which was ok but didn't have much crab.
The Green Pig Bistro has always been a "hidden treasure" in Clarendon; the updated menu makes it even more so. The grilled pork chop was moist, tender and generously sized - with plenty of au jus to keep the accompanying muffin, mashed potatoes and veggies moist and flavorful. The fish of the day - red snapper - was just as appealing; the snapper was moist and tender, served over a bed of black rice and chopped broccoli with a beurre blanc sauce. After this experience, we will return to the Green Pig Bistro more often!

Waited 30 minutes for a server to come by to get our drink order just to wait for another 45 minutes to get coffee. We asked for cream for the coffee which never got to our table. When the food came after over an hour and a half of waiting it was cold. The waiter was rude and what looked to be the restaurant manager was also rude and unapologetic about the wait and cold food. A different server noticed our table and is the only thing positive I have to say about this place as she was very apologetic and was able to get us our check. I would not recommend this place to anyone
ehhh had high hopes. warm beer, mini sized burger patty didn’t fit the oversized bun, no water refill. bartender was extremely nice! would i go back? yes, i would but only to have liquor and good convo with friends. great location.

The food was solid, delicious, non-dry chicken.
