Always a, fan of Guapo's. The steak nachos brighten any cloudy day, for me. Flavorful, tender, straight up YUM. And the chips and salsa/Pico de gallo are sooo good.

Drinks were too sweet I asked for a white sangria, and I was charged 21 dollars when my friend next to me was charged 14 dollars for her sangria. I also ordered a aperol spritz and I was charge 16 dollars when you can get it for 12 dollar at palette. Get it inflation is out of control however, prices are way to high when you get chip liquor .I work as a bartender and one of the most important things about being a bartender is ask about preferences.

Guapo's is a very fun, large, lively Mexican restaurant in Shirlington with good food too. My favorite dish is the fajitas as I believe many other people's as well the place gets smoky from all those sizzling hot plates! The kids love watching the tortilla machine, and they have a very nice kids menu. It's crazy how busy this restaurant is and how fast they move people in and out. You look around and there are servers and bussers running around everywhere.

I was shocked how good the food was. Being from Texas it’s really hard to find good Tex -mex anywhere else. The salsa was good the guacamole was amazing. My taco Al carbon was grilled to perfection and my frozen mango margarita with a tjian rim was the chefs kiss but the Soppapias dessert was to die for!!!!

Came in after checking into hotel and got to enjoy Happy Hour! Enjoyed 2 Mexican Candy Shooters, 3 Margaritas (Passion Fruit, Mango and Classic) and about 3 baskets of chips w salsa! Total bill was $49 so really well priced Happy Hour if you ask me! Margaritas are $8 a pop & $7/shooters.
Also pictured is a passion Fruit Mojito i could not drinks due to the shooters🫠
*shooters were a bigger size than i have received at other Mexican restaurants, I expected the tall shot glasses these were hefty and strong!!*

I had a great time in this restaurant, my server Nicolas was great , very attentive, he explained every detail about the menu including drinks etc , I definitely coming back here , he recommended us a drink from special autumn menu , it was spectacular.. the food is excellent too.

Our server/bartender Darlyn was amazing!!!! Tortilla bowl was amazing. The tortillas are some of the best i’ve ever had. They so soft & thick I don’t remember the last time I had some that tasted like these lol they also have some of the best consommé i’ve ever had too. I had Guapos at another location & wasn’t a fan but i’ll be back here for sure! 😍

I came here pretty late with my husband during our trip to the D.C. area. I really loved the atmosphere of this place- very festive and their added fall decor was cute. The service was excellent and the food was great! We especially loved the salsas that came with their chips. I’m glad we stopped here!

We absolutely loved our experience here at Guapos. I had been craving Tex mex from San Antonio and finally after being in NoVa for 2 yrs we’ve found our new spot ! Fresh in house flour tortillas. A big thing we miss is breakfast tacos like carne asada, chorizo and egg , bacon egg. Here they offer a burrito with lots of items but you can also order sides with tortillas and make your own. Coffee was hot and strong. Ricardo our server was wonderful and attentive (all staff were wonderful). Beautiful ambiance and clean bathrooms. We look forward to returning and trying different menu options. Also, free chips and salsa that taste delicious.

I usually order a steak (ask for the soft green salsa and put it on the steak... Delicious!), or a traditional meal of tacos and enchiladas. The drinks are good, and its in a nice location in Shirlington with many other places to visit.
