Come here!! Complementary Fried rice thingy that was delicious! The food was great and revolutionary. Great foods I have never come across. I recommend the Goat Curry! It's a masterpiece! So delicious. Also, mango lassi was fire and the little biggie dishes that come with meals made vegetables no only fun but Elite! Waiting for. dessert right now!.....Also the sound track to this place is purely Like Nepali artist and it's great. Great vibes all around.

I was there with about 20 friends. we ordered the food in a group. They brought so many foods not ordered and when we got the check there were many additional items not ordered. We told this to the owner and he started arguing with us. Will never go to this place again. Especially avoid if you are in a group.

Best korma I've ever had. The yak was tender and flavorful. Staff gave me time to enjoy and didn't hover. No-frills restaurant and would 100% eat there again.
One of the best restaurants you will experience

Stopped by Himalayan Wild Yak in Arlington and really enjoyed it. The space felt cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. The food was flavorful and comforting — especially the momos and curries. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. It’s a great spot when you’re craving something hearty and full of spice.

If you’re looking for a true hidden gem in the DMV area, Himalayan Yak in Arlington is it! This place delivers authentic flavors straight from Nepal with a cozy, welcoming vibe.
The Old Fashioned smokey whiskey was perfection — smooth, bold, and with just the right amount of smokiness to set the tone for the night. For food, the wild boar and goat sukuti stole the show. The wild boar was tender and flavorful with a rich, gamey taste that you can’t find just anywhere.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that combines authenticity, warmth, and unforgettable flavors all in one spot, but Himalayan Yak absolutely nails it. Highly recommend for anyone craving something unique and truly delicious.
I found an incredible Nepalese restaurant in Arlington that I can confidently call my current favorite. I went there last Saturday and was seriously impressed by both the food and the atmosphere. I started with the Yak Jhol Momos, Pork Belly, and Wild Boar all bursting with rich, authentic flavors. For the main course, I had the Nepali Set and Tandoori Chicken, which were both hearty and delicious. What made the experience even better was the service. Even though the place was packed, the staff handled it smoothly with great co-ordination. A special shoutout to the pretty young girl at the host stand she was welcoming, always smiling, and made sure to check on us throughout the meal. That level of care and service is rare these days, and it really stood out. I’ll definitely be back.

We stopped here after a very long day in transit then walking visiting sights. It is so so so delicious! The Palak Paneer is different, tastier and creamier. Th Cauliflower and lentils were amazing. We had the Yak moms and the pork belly which were also spiced very nicely. The appetizer was a fried Kale salad which sounds weird but it was the best thing!! Highly recommend this place! They even had beautiful paintings on the walls and looked like a nice bar. No wait time.
