I absolutely love this new Thai place at Harrison Street! I got takeout recently and ordered a handful of items new to me--I particularly enjoyed the "Ped Grob Pad Gra Pow" (or crispy honey duck with basil). I also got some of the classics including Pad Thai which were great. When I arrived for pickup, I was the only one there but a few others arrived also to pickup. It appeared to be a husband-wife-duo running the establishment and they both came out to say hi and were extremely friendly and helpful. I only had to wait a few minutes for a very large order. I will most definitely be going back!

Takeout orderTom kha gai soup, panang curry, and beef pad kra powNone were goodThe soup was too spicy and creamyPanang was largely flavorless and the fried tofu was soggy by the time I got home from the 10m driveBeef kra pow was a dry sirloin (?) and the bell pepper was overpoweringToo many good Thai places in the area to go back here againTwo stars as it's a small family business and interior looks nice

FINALLY! There's a good Thai place in the Harrison Center and we're so happy with the food selection and taste. My kids devoured their food and we were pleased with the price, taste, and portions of the food. And on top of that, the owners are delightful.

Up and coming hidden gem. Pad Thai was al dente. Vegan options delicious and surprising. Substitutions and suggestions were helpful. Quite yummy. Thank you for a wonderful and nourishing meal.Fenestrated Adanson’s monstera made the atmosphere cozy and upscale especially for the strip mall. We’ll be back. Sorry for Italian words. Definitely Thai.Vegetarian options: Tofu and good veggies.

Solid choice for Thai food -- convenient location, fast and friendly service and a great selection of Thai classics + several unique menu options. Good portion sizes and for takeout, each item is packed to maintain quality. Flavors are fresh and layered -- a good amount of spice where expected. Proteins are incorporated with a good ratio. No, this isn't fine dining or the previous establishment, but it's a good quality option for Thai favorites and exploring new dishes. Worth supporting this local option for family-made Thai food.

One of the newer Thai restaurants in the area. Parking can be a challenge with a small lot in back, but you can usually find some street parking in the area. They have two sets of dining areas inside- it looks like many other upscale Thai restaurants in the area. Service was quick and attentive throughout. We shared an order of the spring rolls to start which were well prepared and quite tasty. I went with the crispy basil duck for my entrée. It had a great flavor level with the perfect amount of seasoning, and a good amount of sautéed vegetables to compliment the dish. Overall it was a very good meal and on par with some of the other higher end Thai restaurants in the DC area.

Great Thai! Pad Thai and cashew chicken are amazing. Service is quick. My husband and I both like our food spicy and both times we asked they either provided sauce that was a perfect addition or added in a little extra to the recipes. We have only lived here a few weeks and have gone twice already.

We’ve been a couple times for the lunch specials and decided to go for dinner. Loved the green papaya salad, it’s typically very spicy at Thai restaurants and this one did not disappoint! Spicy crispy catfish was amazingly delicious, better than we’ve had in many Thai restaurants as it was very lightly bartered and super crispy. Generous portions including mounds of steamy rice. Now they offer wine too, always helpful to ameliorate the hot oil burn (we like spicy but most dishes can be ordered mild). This little local place has changed ownership only three times in the many years (at least 30) we have been coming here and continues to be a nice family run small business. The new owners painted everything white so the decor feels a bit sterile, but they have added fresh greenery on the tables. We will control be regular customers!

Very, very disappointed. We loved Ghin Na Ree! They were a family owned, very authentic Thai restaurant, and were so friendly. I say authentic because my father in law was a diplomat in Thailand. We took him to Ghin Na Ree and he was very impressed! The owners were very friendly and always welcomed us. We watched their daughters grow up and have families if their own. Likewise they watched our daughters grow up and have their own children. The food was always plentiful and very, very fresh. We were excited to try this new Thai restaurant and waited to make sure that they had worked the kinks out. When we were seated the server came to our table and very bruskly asked “are you ready?”. We had barely looked at the menu. I ordered my all time favorite Drunken Noodles. It was way too spicy and the chicken was terribly over cooked - tasted like leather. It was also not very warm, while the noodles were very hot which indicated the chicken was cooked in advance and added to the dish once the noodles were almost ready, hence the difference in temperature from the noodles. I was also thrown off by the presence of green beans and cherry tomatoes. I have ordered this dish at many Thai restaurants and it’s normally served with peppers - green, red and yellow, and basil. I have never had it served with green beans and cherry tomatoes. My husband ordered the crispy pork belly with Bok Choi. About 40% of the pork belly was inedible - cooked so much that you couldn’t bite into it without cracking a tooth. The bok choi was almost entirely the light green/white stalks with very few of the dark green leaves which, according to my husband is the best part of Bok Choi. Needless to say we will never return and if you were a fan of Ghin Na Ree you will probably be just as disappointed with not only the quality of the food but also the rude, unfriendly staff.

Thoughtful menu and excellent execution on the dishes. We will be happy to go here again and try more dishes. The cooking is creative without straying too far from traditional flavors. Delicious!

The food is great! We got sun dried beef, 3 flavored chicken and Moo Yang (marinated pork with sticky rice). Everything was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Will be back soon!
