We had another delicious meal at La Cote d'Or on Friday evening. Fall and winter are our favorite time of year at La Cote d'Or because they put our cold weather favorite, cassoulet, back on the menu. If anything, the cassoulet was even better on Friday night than it was last year. It was excellent. Since it is so filling, we split an order of deviled eggs with smoked salmon as an appetizer. Always a good choice although our favorite appetizer there is the escargot.
Went to brunch and had I had a $30 and husband had a $45 set menu. Food was good, the bread excellent and service slow but good. On their website it says that they have $9 mimosas and Bellinis at brunch. I ordered a Bellini and it was not an authentic Bellini that has peach purée. I asked the waiter and he said it had some peach schnapps in it. He should have told me that upfront since I would have never ordered it. That is the reason I'm giving them 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5.
La Côte D'Or Café is a great spot for a relaxed meal with really good French food. The dishes are flavorful and well-prepared, the portions are just right, and the atmosphere is cozy without feeling too formal. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a nice, easy dinner.

By far the best French restaurant in the DC/No.VA area. Every menu item I've tried has been wonderful. Staff is attentive without being obtrusive. The atmosphere is pleasant. Parking can be difficult at peak times, but that's the ONLY drawback to this excellent and charming eatery.

Chef is French and celebrating 50 years of experience. This is very French food at its finest. Trout Amandine is fabulous!
The food was delicious and service was great. We had a fun birthday celebration!

Arrive between 5 and 6:15pm to have the $35 fixed price, 3 course, option.
My husband and I had soup of the day, tasty vegetable soup, creatively different from most. Butternut squash, red peppers, maybe carrots and onions with a thyme flavor.
We also each had a good lamb stew with a variety of vegetables and potatoes.
I enjoyed dessert of bread pudding with bits of peach, walnuts and cinnamon. Last taste of summer, starting into autumn.

This was my second visit this year to LaCote D'Or. I favor mussels from my visits to Normandie. They indulge me and I leave room for one of their luscious desserts. Service is excellent.
La Cote D'Or is a charming French restaurant with delicious food fairly priced and excellent service. The ambiance is perfect for those interesting in conversation without having to compete with loud music or other extraneous noises.
Very experienced staff in the front of the house and in the kitchen. Delicious French food with a few twists. Great atmosphere and highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem, just wonderful food and service. I felt like I was in France. I would definitely recommend.
La Cote D’Or is a French jewel in an unlikely setting. Meals are pre-fixe which some patrons may not like, but my husband and I loved ours. He had a delicious Mesclun salad, perfectly cooked lamb chops, and bread pudding. I ordered deviled eggs, an incredible vegetarian risotto with spinach, mushrooms, and carrots, and a melt-in-your mouth chocolate mousse. Service was excellent and prompt.

Went for restaurant week. Food was good -especially for a $55 3-course meal. Service was friendly but was far too slow and took down the value of the meal for me. They just did not have enough wait staff for the number of customers so we waited too long for everything. Our entree was warm but not hot. Coffee arrived after desserts finished, etc. Too many slip ups and food wasn't so fantastic it made up for it. I wouldn't go back for restaurant week that's for sure. Maybe better when not a full house?
We went during the week and they offered a choice of 3 course meals that are very reasonably priced. The service was very attentive and the food was excellent with beautiful presentation. We loved every facet of our dining experience and will definitely go again.
One of our "go to" places, especially for brunch or lunch. Many appealing choices on the menu, and we can depend on the quality of the meals. Service is dependably good.
