We had another delicious meal at La Cote d'Or on Friday evening. Fall and winter are our favorite time of year at La Cote d'Or because they put our cold weather favorite, cassoulet, back on the menu. If anything, the cassoulet was even better on Friday night than it was last year. It was excellent. Since it is so filling, we split an order of deviled eggs with smoked salmon as an appetizer. Always a good choice although our favorite appetizer there is the escargot.
Went to brunch and had I had a $30 and husband had a $45 set menu. Food was good, the bread excellent and service slow but good. On their website it says that they have $9 mimosas and Bellinis at brunch. I ordered a Bellini and it was not an authentic Bellini that has peach purée. I asked the waiter and he said it had some peach schnapps in it. He should have told me that upfront since I would have never ordered it. That is the reason I'm giving them 4 stars, otherwise it...
La Côte D'Or Café is a great spot for a relaxed meal with really good French food. The dishes are flavorful and well-prepared, the portions are just right, and the atmosphere is cozy without feeling too formal. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Definitely a place I’d come back to for a nice, easy dinner.
