You can smell Syria and Damascus inside this place. The wall art is AMAZING.The food is goodI like the hard drinks collection they haveYou will have the best hooka flavors, too. Some times they have a live singer and a belly dancer call a head of time and ask.It is a great destination when you're in Arlington
Vegetarian options: Mediterranean salads like tabouleh and fattouch are great optionsYou can ask the chef for the daily specials
Kid-friendliness: They don't provide kids meals
Parking: Parking is very limited to a few cars in front of the restaurant
Wheelchair accessibility: It is on the ground floor, yet the door is not wheelchair accessible
Delicious food! The best lamb I've Ever had in my life. Friendly staff. Great baklava. Recommended!
Generous portions for the price, food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I had hummus w beef schwarma and grape leaves.
It’s a little sad to see so many good reviews when the food was not great. Only reason I’m giving two stars, it’sbecause of their service. Firstly, food wasn’t seasoned enough, the beef shawarmas were overcooked and had almost no seasoning whatsoever (not enough salt as well). The grill kabobs were also dry and hard to eat after it went cold. Also, we ordered the knafeh (which they said they ran out, then came back and said they actually had it) and it was one of the worst knafehs we have tried. The cheese was almost nonexistent, it smelled like old butter and it had a very carrot buttery taste. We couldn’t even finish it. Overall, a few items were decent such as the ozie shawarma and the lemonade with mint. Lastly, make sure to inspect carefully the check before putting your cards down, since it seems the restaurant menu has different prices than what they actually charge. The overall total didn’t add up to what we ordered base on their menu prices, don’t make the same mistake as us.
This was a very pleasant experience with a genuine Lebanese dining experience. Not just the food, but the drinks and food were high quality and the staff professional. We will likely go back for live music.
Some of the best kunafa in the DMV and the interior of the restaurant is absolutely stunning.
DELICIOUS FOOD BY ALL MEANS. EACH AND EVERY DISH REMINDED ME OF HOME. THE OWNER IS VERY GENUIN AND WELCOMING! THE REAL HOSPITALITY OF THE MIDDLE EAST IS HERE!! WHETHER IT IS THE MIX GRILL PLATTER , EGGPLANT FATOUSH, OR THE TABOULI AND MORE!! ALL AMAZING FLAVORS. EVEN COMING AND DRIVING FROM RICHMOND, IT WAS WORTH THE DRIVE! WE WILL BE BACK SOON FOR SURE ❤
Super friendly staff, Turkish coffee is pretty strong and the lamb fatteh was amazing.
I really like this restaurant delicious food, a lot of lovely peoples there
This was my 2nd time having their lamb and again it was amazing. The Mousakaa was rich and flavorful. I'm not a vegetarian but I can't wait to have this dish again. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back!
Restaurantji Recommends
Great late dinner !The staff is so nice and The place is very comfortable and very beautiful. The lemonade is basically a slushy of a virgin mojito, that's awesome!! We try the lamb kabob, it’s was really good and the price is very worth it.
That was last year: One of the best restaurants in DC! I love the food, prices, easy location & parking! I recommend this restaurant for mediterranean food lovers! The restaurant is Syrian owned and staffed. Be careful to say hi in other languages but Arabic! "spelled Marhaba."This year rate after ordering from UBER Eats:It took 90 minutes for the food to arrive at American University. And I called the to confirm that food comes with Yogurt and Tahina and neither came with the plate. Since it took 90 minutes to arrive, food was literary cold. I highly recommend to eat inside the restaurant not outside it. Thanks.
So delicious.. Everything is perfect and tasty. Must to try a lamb shank.
Very spacious indoor seating and such a nice atmosphere. Really nice decor inside too. The food is Syrian and Lebanese, and they have a wide variety of items on the menu. I really enjoyed the okra appetizer and the fried kibba appetizer. For a late lunch I shared a layalina chicken which was scrumptious. Very flavorful. Dont forget to ask for hot sauce on the side cause it is good with anything that is fried. Also the mint lemonade juice was so delicious and refreshing, and nice in this weather. This is a nice place to come if you are having a party and need the space or dining with family.
The Syrian chicken shawarma Ozie is unlike anything I’ve ever encountered, but wow was it delicious!
